Is anyone honestly surprised about this? If you are not prepared to shoot someone (or to be shot) then do not join the military. It does not matter if you are a 21 year old male or a 55 year old woman. What a recruiter tells you can never be trusted. This is common knowledge.

THat's right. THey ought to train women the same. My daughter recieved her second navy marine achivement medal and she did not get sitting on her butt, she was out there. There are female gunners, so they should get the same recognition that the males do. Thanks to all of the females out there
We should have children in the military too, like they do in Africa. In fact, EVERYONE should be given a gun, and fight in a war, no exception. Then everyone will truly be equal. OR, get the feminists out of the military, and leave it to the men as it should be.
HONOR THEM, regardless AND in spite of the circumstances, they did well, they fought for each other, the innocent amongst them and for our country with honor. As with any returning veterans from any conflict/ war what shall we do HERE for them upon their return to home?Are the past lessons to be acknowledged or ignored? I say welcome them home, fullfil the needs of our honorable returning women & men, our sons & daughters so they may richly enjoy the gratitude of a GRATEFUL NATION...
Bring it on. I am a female Soldier and we already serve and train alongside men as equals. The separate Women's Army Corps ended 30 years ago. We have had a coed army for almost 2 generations now. What rock have you been living under?

These are a great group of women. I was in this unit with them and they were a true pleasure to be around.
