They censor brands because they don't want to advertise certain brands and/or if the specific companies don't want to be associated with the program. It has nothing to do with being embarrassed.
I also like this show and am disappointed it airs on one day. Meanwhile, we have reruns of Rachel Ray banging on chicken meat with a mallet smilingly 5 nights a week
I'll never understand the Food Network. Robert is their most unique chef, and this is their best show, IMO. But they never show it except on its regular night. Yet, Ted Allen and Guy Fieri gets aired every other night. I guess this slavish devotion to generic personalities is why they lost Anthony Bourdain. Robert Irvine should take this great show to a network that can appreciate it, like TLC or Travel Channel.
I don't know if Robert Irvine can just take the show to another network. I think the idea of the show is theirs. But I agree that this show is getting the short end of the stick. There are so many hours in a week, and yet, Dinner: Impossible only gets TWO(!) of them(the first air and it's late-night rerun)? That's just ridiculous! I also agree Irvine is a unique guy(just LOOK at him!) and he needs to be showcased more often than he currently is. Or maybe this is just Food Network's punishment.
Yeah, I saw the name of the guy who does Unwrapped as a producer, so the concept must be the networks. I used to watch the Food Network a lot more when it wasn't the Ted Allen Network.
@Wellington1138 It's probably because there isn't as much of a demand for his work THAT often. Ted Allen's show is based on research and his own work. Robert actually needs a big EVENT to hire him in order to have an episode, which obviously doesn't happen that often
Robert has been back for a couple months now. His first season back finished up the other week and the new season(number 7, I think) started this week. It aired on Food Network on 2009/8/12.
Honestly, when I started watching Dinner: Impossible on a regular basis, Robert had already been fired! Haha! I mean, I had seen a few episodes here and there, and they were always with Robert. And I liked him. First of all he's got a unique, and he always seems to be able to get the job done, with a few exceptions. But watching Symon...it's just not the same. He's vanilla in comparison to Irvine. So I prefer Irvine hands down, and I'm happy that he's back and we have new missions to enjoy. :-)

He's a very charismatic chef and I would definitely work with him if I can, hah.
I'm glad he's back in business.
FN needs to give this guy more air time... and take out Rachel Ray and Sandra Lee.. those awful bitches.

@Wellington1138 Ted Allen is a critic, he got his teevee start on Bravo on a show i'm not willing to mention. Good thing on Chopped he has no input.
