This song is one of the most difficult to listen to songs I've heard, simply because of how emotionally hard hitting these lyrics are. Gorgeously poignant.
So, weird question. I've listened to this song literally hundreds of times (as have many of my friends, since I used to put it on mix tapes, back when mix tapes were actually on TAPES), and it just occurred to me to wonder about the "up-state-new-york" sound bite. Was that recorded from the band, or is that taken from something? Anybody?
hey you found my box!!!! were my papers in there 2 i bet they were i forgot it there because well lets just say i used some of those papers.but if it found a good home so be it. peace!
haha, many nights falling asleep to this cd indeed. i came across this album a very long time ago by accident. fell down a hill in the woods and landed near a shoebox, and there was this cd. i guess it was meant to be =)
@Teejoker1 I have a similar story, I was walking up to Hebert Hoover middle in S.F. and in the side of the street I saw a shiny object. I walked closer to it thinking to myself, "man I wish I had money to buy Jane's Addition," I picked up the cd and I kid you not, it was Jane's Addiction. I played Jane Says about a million times that day.

@conquerlord1 I see, you must be the song police. I assume you have all control over what I am allowed to like, like currently, and one day will like. Well then I guess I'll just throw out every album and song that displeases you master. lol
For those of you who haven't heard, we broke up. Yes, it is sad. However, we've been around for about 15 years, so there's plenty of music out there for you to discover if you haven't heard it all yet. Check out Amazon, eBay, or your local independent record store (our favorites are Sonic Boom and Easy Street in Seattle) to find HD CDs. You can also find a lot of our music on iTunes
My absolute favorite song from the album. I loved it at first for the nice melody... but then I listened closely to the lyrics, and my god! I love Harvey Danger.

Ont of the best alt rock albums of the 90's. HD never got the cred they deserved. I guess I would consider this the death rattle of Alt Rock.
