  • Wow! Such a great review, and everything you say is so true! We have seen her three times on this tour, and each was as you described. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this! :)

  • From this point forward I will plan on seeing Charlotte multiple times on each tour. This was a great experience I would recommend to anyone! The only other entertainer I would want to do this with, Cory Sipper, sadly isn't touring any longer and I missed seeing her. There is a music montage I did, check my vids for "After All" you'll like it.

  • Thanks Cliff for sending me the vid. She has a very unique style.

  • cliff...

in my opinion kens best album is very underrated, pick it up he was in a band 3-4 yars a go called year of the rabbitt....thats how i discovered ken, pick up that album its incredible

  • I will hunt for that one, he did a couple of songs off of that, and I agree that it was very good indeed. As a matter of fact I am liking everything I find by him.

  • Failure's Fantastic Planet is Ken's masterpiece. I'd put it up there with Dark Side and Led Zeppelin IV.

  • Wow, that is high praise indeed! (How the heck did this guy fly under my radar until now??!? I've been good....I've kept the radio turned off...) What a treat it is for me to discover Ken! And surely just as great a treat for Ken's and First Wave Hello's fans to discover Charlotte!

  • it mite not be yur speshal wun but it iz very cool. fankoo for sharin wiv us.

  • Stay tuned hehe :) (Are we subbed to each other?)

  • yes we iz fankoo. hugs for yoo x

  • PS...I'll check out her hubby too. :) Thanks for the great reviews on everyone. I'm so glad you enjoyed the concert. :) I'm looking forward to going and lidtening to her.

    (((Hugs)))

  • The more I listen to Ken the more I like his stuff. He has a live album too that is only a few months old that perfectly represents the experience of listening to him live. Dunno if you can get it off tour.

  • Thanks so much Cliff. I'll have to go and check out some of the video's on her.

Have a wonderful day filled with sunshine & smiles!

    (((Hugs))) to you & yours...

    Paula

  • Don't forget to check out the Live Archive concerts too, and if you can't make one of her concerts the Stromata album is excellent too. There's a music vid on YT floating around...

  • Wow...thanks for turning me on to someone I've never heard of before. I'm going to definitely check out the links!! Hope that you are well.

  • Yes, I am, thank you! Been a bit road lagged... lol :)

  • Thanks for your review. I've been a fan of Ken's for years and saw him in SF back in April. Shortly after that I picked up Stromata and became an instant fan of Charlotte as well. I'll be seeing the tour in SF on the 18th. Seriously looking forward to it. Cheers.

  • I'll tell ya, now that I've done some catching up on Ken myself, I can't believe I DIDN'T know about him before! But thats neat, there's so much new and to discover, and it's all good! (I envy you the West Coast sets!)

  • she sounds pretty good. i'll look her up :)

  • You'll not regret it, and see the comment I left for Fran also :)

  • Great!!! i wish I could watch her but I think I'm a little bit far from them...

  • Ah, but just for folks like you, click on the Live Music archive link, and there's 30+ (yes over 30) entire live concerts by her you can listen to for free, that's how I first found her myself. You can hear those all the way to Brazil :) Click on that when you have a few minutes, and Enjoy!

  • Very awesome Cliff my friend. :)) I will check out her stuff. :))

  • Careful, you will fall in love with her songs just like I have been :)

  • Excellent review Cliff.

PS: What program did you use for the split screen?

  • Hey :) Cool effect, huh? I just started using Adobe Premiere, and the split screen is actually one that I've "faked" using a top and bottom mask with black rectangles to make a false widescreen effect (the vid is actually a normal 4:3 ratio), then just arbitrarily placing elements during production. It's cool (although pricey) software that can do anything. Wait till I play with the green screen - Cliff in... Egypt! or...the fridge! Oh wait, I don't need green screen for that. he he :)

  • Charlotte Martin is not well known overseas, at least I have not heard of her yet. But I am nothing to go by.

  • I don't think she's well known outside of the US at all. Yet :) But her fan base is certainly growing!

  • Wow, you decided to go to both gigs. Nice. Glad you enjoyed your trip Cliff.

  • You coulda come but the commute would have been murder from London lol! Road tripping from Richmond to the show in DC to the show in NYC and back to Richmond was a spur of the moment decision that I'll definitely do over again! (Although at my age it did require more sleep than I seem to remember afterwards...)

  • hey cliff! what a wonderful review of Charlotte and the Never Say Never tour...amazing. thank you for this. :)

  • Thank me? Now THAT is funny! I regret it took a couple of days to get it live, had computer probs. I've also posted it embedded on the Blogger side of CliffBetweentheLines.

  • *POP* Goes your comment cherry!! haha

    Chalotte Martin RULES XD

  • Damn i didnt get first comment!! :( just missed out!!!!

  • LOL, it was all that gleeful dancin around LOL

  • Awesome.

  • Thx :)
