@digschopper I agree. We are all full now here in NH. I bought the last available lot. There is PLENTY of land available in Arizona. They get lots of sun there.
I'm sorry, i was referring to the land and the fact that you had the opportunity to purchase such a beautiful piece of property at the right time and especially at the right place. I didn't mean to offend by not acknowledging the fact that you worked hard for that.
I'd rather think it was lots of hard work and some risk taking that paid off. I made my share of mistakes along the way. Thanks for your very kind sentiments. It's a gorgeous piece of land.
NH is, in my opinion, the #2 state in the USA for overall natural beauty. The White Mountains are more rugged than the Green Mountains of VT. We are blessed here in the USA in that each state has all sorts of natural beauty in one form or another.
New Hampshire looks lovely....but how does it compare to Vermont? New England seems beautiful and I love the history of it. If anyone wants to find a beautiful Southern state, come visit Tennessee, especially the eastern part of the state. :) Nashville is a very nice city too. (my home)
Yes. In fact, you should NOT make an offer to purchase unless you have read the local zoning laws and you are certain you can build what you want without having to apply for a zoning variance. The zoning laws control to a very large degree *what* you can build and where on the lot it must be placed.
Very inspiring. Beautiful country too. How difficult is it to get work permits etc in the US? I've heard there's a lot of bureaucracy these days...
I agree with Neil that English houses are NOT cheap. They are ridiculously overpriced if you ask me. My family is renting indefinitely because (a) there is no alternative and (b) there is no point in saving for a deposit since there is zero chance of ever buying anyway.
Anyway, good luck with the building project and good luck to Neil.
yeah it is the city stinks but up north its kinda scary my sisters found a moose leg by a river the animal people said a mountain lion probly got a hold of the moose but henniker was cool
No need for YouTube to pay. I am more than happy to share the little bit of knowledge I have accumulated over the years. If everyone would do that here on YouTube, it would be simply fantastic.
Finally got a chance to watch this video Tim. You got yourself a beautiful piece of property there. You were right about the waterfalls, they were awesome. I hear those three states up there in the Northeast (Maine, New Hamphire, Vermont) are beautiful. You know what would make a great video? If you film the whole building process from A to Z when/if you decide to build a house on it = )
Oh, you read my mind! I am going to create about 2,000 - 3,000 short YouTube videos of the entire building process. In fact, I am going up there in six weeks to do the initial layout of where the house will go. That will be the first video of the process. In any event, everyone is going to share in the building the house. We hope to break ground in Sept. 2008.
LIES! ALL LIES! stay where you are. we're full, sorry.
