  • LIES! ALL LIES! stay where you are. we're full, sorry.

  • @digschopper I agree. We are all full now here in NH. I bought the last available lot. There is PLENTY of land available in Arizona. They get lots of sun there.

  • Makes Me Home Sick....

  • I'm sorry, i was referring to the land and the fact that you had the opportunity to purchase such a beautiful piece of property at the right time and especially at the right place. I didn't mean to offend by not acknowledging the fact that you worked hard for that.

  • No worries! I agree that Kathy and I were lucky to be at the bus stop when the bus came by. Timing is everything.

  • You are one lucky guy!!! I don't think the video quality does it justice. keep up the good work!!

  • I'd rather think it was lots of hard work and some risk taking that paid off. I made my share of mistakes along the way. Thanks for your very kind sentiments. It's a gorgeous piece of land.

  • New Hampshire has everything, close to Boston, Lakes, Skiing, Lobster, Ocean, close to CANADA, amazing skilled tradesman - Plumber in the 603

  • Shush...... We don't want everyone to discover all the great things. You forgot to mention no Income Tax nor no Sales Tax!

  • NH is, in my opinion, the #2 state in the USA for overall natural beauty. The White Mountains are more rugged than the Green Mountains of VT. We are blessed here in the USA in that each state has all sorts of natural beauty in one form or another.

  • New Hampshire looks lovely....but how does it compare to Vermont? New England seems beautiful and I love the history of it. If anyone wants to find a beautiful Southern state, come visit Tennessee, especially the eastern part of the state. :) Nashville is a very nice city too. (my home)

  • I was looking to move to New Hapmster (Just Joking) or Vermont by the time I reach 30.

  • move to New Hampshire, no housing tax

  • What is a housing tax? There are real estate taxes in NH.

  • Yes, New Hampshire views "rule the world". lol

  • when you buy the land do you still have to have a building permit and all that stuff?

  • Yes. In fact, you should NOT make an offer to purchase unless you have read the local zoning laws and you are certain you can build what you want without having to apply for a zoning variance. The zoning laws control to a very large degree *what* you can build and where on the lot it must be placed.

  • NH <3 is the most powerful state and one of the craziest states its aweasome

  • God I wish I had the money to have a house built in New Hampshire.

1 Lovely part of the world to live.

I love America, and Adore the American people!!

    Neil in England.

  • Neil,

It is not as expensive as you might think. I set my goal 35 years ago to buy land like this and move. Don't give up on your dreams........ ever!

  • You bet!! Never give up on those dreams.

I will have to check out prices there in NH, I bet they are a lot cheaper that here in England....Nothing is cheap here...lol

that is just So Cool that you are going to build a home in NH, hope to get to see it one day.

    have a great day.

    Neil in England.

  • Very inspiring. Beautiful country too. How difficult is it to get work permits etc in the US? I've heard there's a lot of bureaucracy these days...

I agree with Neil that English houses are NOT cheap. They are ridiculously overpriced if you ask me. My family is renting indefinitely because (a) there is no alternative and (b) there is no point in saving for a deposit since there is zero chance of ever buying anyway.

Anyway, good luck with the building project and good luck to Neil.

  • I have no idea how hard it is to get a Visa or work permit.

    Sorry!

  • oh God NH Is beautiful I LUV IT!!!!

  • yeah it is the city stinks but up north its kinda scary my sisters found a moose leg by a river the animal people said a mountain lion probly got a hold of the moose but henniker was cool

  • That really is awesome. YouTube should be paying you for doing these great videos = )

  • No need for YouTube to pay. I am more than happy to share the little bit of knowledge I have accumulated over the years. If everyone would do that here on YouTube, it would be simply fantastic.

  • Agreed = )

  • Finally got a chance to watch this video Tim. You got yourself a beautiful piece of property there. You were right about the waterfalls, they were awesome. I hear those three states up there in the Northeast (Maine, New Hamphire, Vermont) are beautiful. You know what would make a great video? If you film the whole building process from A to Z when/if you decide to build a house on it = )

  • Oh, you read my mind! I am going to create about 2,000 - 3,000 short YouTube videos of the entire building process. In fact, I am going up there in six weeks to do the initial layout of where the house will go. That will be the first video of the process. In any event, everyone is going to share in the building the house. We hope to break ground in Sept. 2008.
