From what Teetayu's uncle said in the earlier episdoe, he wanted to eradicate the royal family but Teetayu stopped Konjanat from killing Tarathep and and Sisira.

I think he had fallen for Sisira at the point. So, he has to keep his feelings for her in check by making the princess hate him so that his uncle will not see her as an obstacle but a controllable princess to give him an heir with true royal blood.
