  • good tutorial though bit boring and they need to be more clear

  • great tutorial, a bit boring tho

  • no!

    muay thai or thai boxing

their kicks is power from hips to leg

muay thai is not snap their kicks

karate kicks is snap snap kick is not powerful

    try do not kick snap

  • lol muay thai sucks...

  • great video douche bags, watching these words not move is awesome!

  • nice video!!

  • wat do u guys prefer kicking wit a bent leg or wit a straight leg

  • sounds like he says "this is Ric Cocaine" hahaha

  • @erthdirt1yes, it does........lol Ric Cocaine hahahah

  • aloharebel808 u r gerb ill own ur bitch ass enjoy lol i am blue belt in brazilian jiu-jitsu n have been doing muay-thai for 5 months i train under andrew calandrelli former mma fighter 4th degree blk belt in tkd blk belt in bjj n former undefeated ame. boxer

  • Seems like he is jumping around a lot more than the Thais do. The Thais seem to have a lot more economy in their movements. But yeah, there's no way I could win a match against a real fighter, just no way! But I still like to watch the fights, and giving an 'armchair' commentary is half the fun, so quit your whining about 'armchair experts' gentlemen. Guys love to watch other guys fight, and every man will give a critique like he's the world's best coach - it's just what guys do!

  • Terrific summary ;)

  • i agree with AlohaRebel808 to. i bet most of these people cant even fight or win one match. they talk shit and hide behind computers

  • Yea, what "AlohaRebel808" said.. Everyone is a freakin' "expert" in fighting styles... Freakin' Ufc kids.... They watch a show, and think they know what they are talking about.

  • his punches win him professional matches.. lol dont diss the technique imo

  • His direct punches are totally unrealistic. He would hit nothing with that range.Ok,it's a shadow-fight but I think that every technique should be practiced in a realistic way,as if facing a real oponent.

  • As a note: All martial arts have ranges, and techniques to be used at specific ranges. The man in the video is practicing short range techniques, hence using his knees and hooks/uppercuts rather than using full kicks and jabs. Muay Thai (and boxing in general) is meant to bring the opponent into short range as it allows more control and less chance to block. MLchaelYiochalas is probably used to one of the martial arts that emphasizes longer range, such as Karate.

  • Thais are deadly when they're in a clinch. They have all sorts of moves that western boxers generally don't know about, and aren't expecting. A lot of them involve the elbows, which Thais can use very effectively, from positions and in ways that can be surprising.

  • Dam EVERYBODY Whose Typing These BS Comments Seem to be an "Expert" in Fighting All of a Sudden! lol!!!

The Intro Just Says This Guy is a Pro Fighter, So I Think Some of You Guys Commenting Should Just Relax on Your "Youtube Coaching".

No One Fighter is The Same, Every Fighter Has Their Way of Fighting, Traditional or Not.

Look at the Old & New Roy Jones... He Boxes With His Hands by His Hips, Not Your Traditional Stance, But it Worked For Him.

  • Omg did this guy just say "don't worry about technique....." is this guy crazy if u are the strongest hitter with power with no technique u will get knocked out with a technique user. with technique comes power!

  • its all about making ur OWN technique not how ur trained mix it up and make it ur own style and u will be unpredictable

  • muay thai doesnt really have a traditional technique actually it varies on your body type so you make yours up to match your movements

  • tazn, muaythai does have traditional technique from old muay thai, called muay boran.

  • yea i guess.but i mean to just kinda fine tune it ya know?

  • it was fines tuned years ago u pleb muay boran is just the same as muay thai but it has complex fancy moves like jumping grabs and knees ect it is just an extension of the basic effective techniques. Just because something isn't modern doesn't mean it's less effective theres nothing scientific about the fighting or anything.

  • Right on.

  • Stoked33 and Andilikeswhatido have a point. Its a demonstration...

  • he lowers his hands a lot

  • Thats not all muay thai kick ffs... not even close

  • you should put up a vid for us and demonstrate a shin kick.

  • not sure what you're learning but those ARE mauy thai kicks.

  • haters...the kid is shadowboxing into air. quit talking like he needs to be lumpinee status or something. show him something beteer if you can.

  • all you fuckin experts, where's your video to show how its done. always got to be critical. STFU pussy comment writers.

  • this guy wen kicking sometimes didnt even pivot his foot..

  • its look so fucking easy when he does it!

  • Comment removed

  • its a demonstration

  • feet are to far apart, and needs to follow his kicks through

  • words are spelt wrong, and needs to learn how to spell through

  • FEET ARE WAY TOO FAR APART !!!!!!!!

  • okay

  • idiot, Kickboxers use snap kicks. They Snap out their legs and then bring them back.

Muay Thai fighters kick as if they are going to break through their opponent. This gives alot of power. So if he is shadow boxing, theres nothing to kick, so its obvious he is going to turn 360 degrees.

  • couldnt have said it better myself

  • i second that.

  • @Moderm101 youre so right muay thai trainers teaches their students to penetrate into their opponents muscle tissues to get to the nerve which disables their leg after about 4 kicks

  • @Moderm101 Yes, but if the Kick Boxing trainer was training muay thai before, he will show you the kicks of muay thai xD and that kick kills! :DD

  • @Moderm101 why is everyone putting so many thumbs up for this comment? i do kickboxing and ALL of the punches and kicks i do are striking through the target, and never used a snap kick. ever. the majority of kickboxers DONT use snap kicks as far as i saw all these years. only karate and martial arts like it use snap kicks. KB is not one of them. KB actually use pretty much the same kick as MT, there are only slight differences in the stance before the kick gets thrown.

  • @almablack22

You obviously do some sort of hybrid kickboxing discipline. Something that adopts the muay thai kick by the sounds of it. Maybe training under K1 rules. K1 Rules would be classed as kickboxing, when really its a dulled version of thai boxing. Traditional kickboxing, kicks snap out from the knee, and come back. Simple as.

  • @Moderm101 it is under k1 rules. so basically, everyone i know and every pro fighter i've seen doing KB is using some sort of MT kick. lol. been fighting for years and didnt knew that KB does not use that kick usually in its true form. :/ thanks for the explanation and for not calling me an idiot. :)

and what do you know, my coach did thai boxing for 15 years before turning to k1. everything is clearer now. thank you again, and respect to all fighters, no matter the discipline they fight in.

  • he's not hitting anything, but yes you're supposed to. problem is you can give up your footing to someone who knows what their doing when you pivot. they stay flat footed for defense

  • why isn't he twisting his pivot foot while kicking? i think you're supposed to twist you foot while your shin is about to hit something to draw more momentum to your impact.
