Your horse would not be the only one to ever poop in town....lots of horses rode in the parade and one that pulls the Carriage ride for the Martha Washington Inn.
we have a lot of great things here in Abingdon :) The fountain is by Charles Vess, a well known local fantasy artist, and the large building you called the courthouse is the Martha Washington Inn-supposedly haunted just like the Tavern :D Come back in summer, during the Highlands festival, your family would love it, I promise :)
Hey, I felt bashful cause my horse didn't poop in the town, I hustled him through, I told him this is nice town, don't poop here and embarrass me, so I didn't delay, but I think Abingdon was the most fantastic architecture of the style I like, in all America on this trip.

If you think Main street is pretty go down Valley Street. It has more homes to view. Over all an excellent video of Abingdon.
