Every city can be dangerous if you go into the wrong neighborhoods at the wrong times. New York is a great city to visit. You should definitely go. Do some research first so that you know what areas to avoid. Some areas are just residential and may be crime ridden. Other areas that may be questionable at night may be ok to see during the day. Every one who loves the U.S. must go to the largest city in the U.S. at least once.

I take the city for granted. I live here and complain that there is nothing to do because everything that tourist do I have done with my school. One of the downfalls of living her. However I did see my first Broadway musical on my birthday last year, The Lion King!. I wanna see it again

most people are helpful; everyone is in a hurry. Had no problems.

During the day you can go to every borough and make sure to act confedens.

Manhattan is also safe at night. Take the bus instead of subway at latenights.

Purchase a unlimited ride card. Make a plan what you want to see.

Watch out for prices in electronicstores....but go safe to B&H 9 avenue-34th street.

this is the 5th 'walk thru nyc' video that i have seen and i really can't understand why people keep goin on about it being so good. i have been there once and was amazed at how big it was but that is all. it just a massive block of concrete with mad angry people pushing around running after money and carrying big shopping bags.if nyc people could wreck the environment more,act tougher, and love themselves for being rude a little more,they would explode in an massive explosion of their own egos

New York just has an amazing atmosphere thats what makes it the best place on Earth. The buildings are amazing, shops fabulous, people amazing. Its just great. Theres something for everyone. Busy streets, amazing sights, quite parks its all just great.
