you got it slightly wrong, ive been playing for about a year and a halfand this song is really fascinating, lol

u r surpossed to play it on the 12th fret of the 6th string and go to the 14th on the 5th

and the last not of the sequence brings you back to the 14th on the 5th string not the 4th, lol, if u listen to the song it will sound like that, but still quite a good lesson, but hard to hear the difrence but i know that is right :D

You can play it anyway you choose or like. However, Iommi plays it on the 12th fret because he says it sounds "darker." The notes are the same but the sound is definitely different.

You can play it on the 7th fret (A string) or 12th fret (E string), it´'s the excact same note, the 7th fret one's just an octave higher. The ending of the riff is wrong though. You should play the last note on the A string.

Actually, Tony Iommy plays it on 12 fret E string. but the title of the video is "How to play it" and not "How Black Sabbath play it".and I think that 12 fret E string is the same note as 7fret A string (an E)...So he just plays the same a different way!
