@nintendork2001 In a way, yes, and I think it kind of worked. However, in another way, no; as Oswald was supposed to be the main villain of the game in the early development of it. I think the game was really more of a shout out to all forgotten Disney, with more emphasis put on Oswald because he was the first to be forgotten, not to mention he was also the inspiration for Mickey.

Everytime when I think of Oswald, I had a feeling that Walt Disney himself is happy to have his "son" back, along with Mickey (little brother of Oswald)~!

Lol, me and my friend call each other by our fav games of 2010 and 2011, and he calls me mickey, naughty bear, or rabbid, while I call him oswald, marston, or nukem. XD

@Moonstoneofterror This is like the "When She Loved Me" of Epic Mickey. This game made me feel about cartoon characters the same way Toy Story made people feel about their toys, and as an animation artist myself, I do NOT want my characters to ever feel like Oswald again. :'(

@365ral Baaad idea. Imagine if Disney had kept Oswald instead of Mickey. You probably wouldn't be an animation artist yourself, not having been inspired by their movies like I suppose you were, as they wouldn't have had enough money to make them.

@DoctorMGinius What I meant was that even if I don't end up using certain characters in the role I had planned them, like for Oswald for instance, I still want to give ALL my characters some sort of purpose so that I won't feel like I've neglected my own creations.

Does anyone notice that the bad guy from UP is named "Charles Muntz"? That's one letter away from Charles Mintz, the man who stole Oswald from Walt Disney!!

@KenChanCake IKR? But Dave Smith from the Disney Archives says that Charles Mintz wasn't inspiration for Muntz, but it IS shocking how both villains have such similar names.

@365ral I wouldn't call Mintz a villian persay... From what I've read in my research, it was common for those who distributed the cartoons to steal copyrights from their creators during those times. Just thought you should know.

@ameart26 Yeah, but even then, the cartoons Mintz made did so little justice to Oswald's character, you'd think he tortured Oswald in what he forced him to do in his cartoons, especially ones like nearly getting raped by Pete. Mintz was like the Michael Eisner of Universal, focused more on quantity than quality when make cartoons. Even the animation was more poorly drawn!

Mickey and Oswald's themes sound similar. If you want to hear a somwhat better version of Mickey's theme, go see th menu music.
