I thought that on a gameplay level the game was absolutely terrible, the story was forgettable dante was turned into a nondescript cardboard cut out but the artistic direction and the music were still pretty damn good.
I love this track! Im glad to see ppl that like this game! Dante is so Powerful in this so much time has gone by when u play this one hes matured fully !
i don´t really get it why people says that this is the lamest DMC, cuz this one added all the cool tricks to the game, that why it is my 3rd favorite in the releases, but no other can beat the first
@XxDeViLBrInGeRxX I always thought Devil May Cry 2 was the best, I much prefer the serious games. Devil May Cry did have the darkness about it that very much gave way to the legacy.
@darklander45 Yeah.. Also, DMC 2 had a great post apocalyptic feeling to it.. And it was kind of dark-ish.. And I totally loved that.. In the other games in the series I haven't felt that way.. DMC 3.. I lovet the game itself, but I really hated the setting.. almost every part of the game took place in the Temen-ni-gru tower, which was kind of boring to me.. DMC4.. I think it was absolutely great with awesome boss battles but it wasn't as great as the feeling of DMC. I haven't played DMC1 :(
@darklander45 (part 2) If they ever make a fifth game to the series I hope they will bring back this setting.. A dark and kinda futuristic city with lots of demons... Also I loved the near end parts.. After you defeated Arius for the first time and saved Lucia.. Ya know when the Phantom was released and the whole town was kinda strange.. Also the Uroboros tower was great. So, I really loved DMC2.. Great feeling, awesome bosses (Nefasturris for example) and Dante looked awesome. 9,1/10
@nightbane234 I kinda agree but this game was way to easy to beat, the only time I had actual trouble was the very last boss, I think this game would've been better if they made the enemies stronger and if they had some returning enemies (I'm not talking about bosses either)
ok, I exagerated a bit, but i dont realy like the layout or format of this game. it just seems a tedious for me, and the story seems shallow. The mechanics just kinda bug me, you just go from one place to another killing everything until you find some guy.
What do you think about the fourth game? i think they over-killed the backtracking, you play as nero for 11 lvls, and than you play the rest as dante, just backtracking where nero went, with some extra's, sucks.....
DMC 2 Soo underrated, gun slinging and wall jumping was EPIC in this game.

The most Gothic and dark Devil May Cry.
The atmosphere was eerie the enemies well envisioned.
If it had the combat system of 3, it would be the best Devil May Cry.

I do not know why many of people say they hated Devil May Cry 2.
It may not have been as good as 1 or 3 but it was the first one i played and i liked it.
The only problem with it was the targetting that and the moth boss and the element boss that can split into three heads.
Those parts annoyed the fuck out of me!
Other then that i liked it and had no problem with it.
I liked the final boss.
He was awesome ! (Mundus was better)
But the blob form annoyed me!

for me dmc 2 aint that bad, you gota love it when you use the shotgun AND a pistol to shoot any demon who is dumb enough to sneak up behnd you.

dmc 2 wasnt the best because dante was all serious with an emo friend, tho she was pretty awesome. but it had some of the best music in the series

I havent played the fourth yet:( i dont have a 360 or anything but ive seen all the cutscenes, and ya they backtrack too much.
