Iggy's fucking whacked off his face cavorting around the stage like a maniac.....jumping into the crowd and smearing peanut butter all over his chest like a drunken messiah...
and this guy's like....."well they don't go about it in a showbiz way!!" hahahahaha...
i want to be here so BAD. my mother lived through all this, she never even heard of John Lennon or David Bowie! Like, wtf?!?! People don't know how to appreciate a good thing when they have it.
Iggy is high on LSD, there is an interview where he talks about this show. The announcer is awesome. Frickn hilarious! Vietnam... muscle cars outta detroit, what an amazing concert! MC5 are awesome too. and don't forget the Monks, awol U.S. soldiers in West Germany predating this... They wanted to tour VietNam! Their album was only released in Europe, sort of censored in the U.S.
Wow Iggy just sucks, really, how can u like this......
It's just a drug asshole try to sing, the music sucks, the guitar sucks, the drums sucks, what's the deal? Explain me, please, i just don't get it....
Iggy doesn't say ''I'm Alright'', he yells ''I fell alright!'' that is part of the lyric from the song, he's not talking about how he is feeling into the crowd.
6/13/70 Crosley Field-Cincinnati Pop Festival, Midsummer Rock. Grand Funk Railroad, Mountain, The Stooges, Alice Cooper, Traffic. This televised concert was hosted by the very straight Jack Lescoulie who provides play-by-play commentary. Alice Cooper gets a pineapple upside cake thrown into his face while he tries to hypnotize the crowd by swinging a pocket watch back and forth.
google Lescoulie for some insight into his interesting career, here depicted near it's end...

i swear it was supposed to be about making good music, and not making yourself look like a dick when really high. I can get really high and do that, I did that yesterday.
If i went to see one of my favourite band, and the lead singer did all that shit, I'd be pretty upset. I think I'd probably want to get a new favourite artist lol. I though music was supposed to be atheistical to the ear. Iggy Pop and the stooges made some good tracks, dont get me wrong but that show fucking sucks.
How hilarious is the announcer!!! "Well, he is just walking on some peoples' hands now... I think this is a good time for a word from our sponsors!" LOL. Iggy is fucking LEGEND.
That is absolutely hilarious, with the "square" announcer, as vonbon said, with the play-by-play style. It's a great example of straight 50s colliding with wild 60s.
this is fuckin' amazin. just a comment on the commentary by peymon... whether he intende it as an answer to the crowd woman, "i feel alright" is the lyric that is sung repeatedly at the close of 1970 :)
how can you not dig this? The Stooges were the meanest, the craziest, the fucking emperors of hard lean noise! it's *better* than 'music' - they're still ahead of what's being currently churned out. The Ig and the Asheton brothers simply discovered the subterranean meaning of rock
Just a priceless piece of video, in more ways than one! Speaking as a decidedly heterosexual male, I've gotta say that Iggy is probably the only male performer who ever turned me on sexually. He had the moves. And how about that announcer! Giving out a play-by-play, as though it wasn't a concert but a sporting event. (Which I guess it kinda *was*!) Just plain bizarre.
4:14 Most iconic rock image ever. (Stiv Bators of the Dead Boys gave him the peanut butter seconds later)
