I understand he beat the game already, he unlocked the power -ups already like the Flash (which is a great advantage, it made mincemetal outta the Sub-Boss), but I really wanted to see him secure the Juno. Actually SEE him grab it. I dunno why though,lol.

i love this fucking game. i got to the last level on hard mode w/out dying once using the microship {the first enemy ship you encounter. it is a bonous feature for kicking ass} i think i ended up w/ 18, 000, 000 points or something. unreal tournament is the only other harded game to beat.

The best side scroller of all time for me. It took an intense amount of muscle memory to master. Remember the spider robot in the tunnel? Blew my mind that the graphics were that good on a playstation.

You can increase or decrease your thruster speed. The "wings" going lower decreased your speed vice versa.

i got all the guns even the python mosquito you get the python on level 5 it requires wasp you must hit that carrier that looks like a sphinx and the mosquito in level 4 you got to get in one of the rooms up in the base after you defeat the purple swiming thingy

You can obtain the Flash in two places. During the 3rd stg, right after you fight GECKO in the construction tunnels, a rotating column thing will appear. Destory it, shoot all the pieces. This will give you the Flash.

The second spot is while fighting Aus D Gestell (midboss of Stg 5), that monkey like jumping robot. Knock him down 4 times. It's the 2nd S. bonus for the stg. Gestell will throw a red box at you. It will be the Flash.

I cannot get past level 4. The farthest I've gotten is to the mini boss and I always waste like 6 continues on just the beginning section.

He's referring to the Schwarzgeist's (stage 5 endboss) discs. It's a foreground/background issue.

I take it you mean Ausf D Durer then Khoa? He's the Stg 5 endboss. Schwarzgeist is the Stg 6 endboss.

When I heard discs, I thought they were referring to the grazing from Ausf D Gestell's spinning ground discs.

Oh that's right, stage 6 endboss. Yeah, Schwarzgeist's disks that hover around it, track your movement, and shoot lasers. At one point the ship moves behind it. Or an invincibility code was used and it was really a collision. Either way it looks awefully suspicious.

Still, Endy II runs are common. Now, a one-life Astraea run would be great. Impossible I'd say.

An Astraea one-life run isn't really impossible. I believe my the owner of the Code 9234 has likely done it with the Astraea. I can 1 credit the game with, having lost only two fighers. I know I can do it without losing a fighter.

Each time I play I give myself new challenges. The latest was 1cc on Hard using all 3 Einhander ships, which I did. I'll probably try for a no-deaths run soon.

Not only that, but with an emulator you can see frame rates and pre-program the character (in this case, a ship) to react in certain ways or to move exactly right. It's a fun watch to get an idea of strategy.

Yeah, I think it is too. When he was fighting that boss right before the last boss, one of those flying disks hit him and he didn't die. But whatever, that was the only suspicious part of the whole thing.

Those disks that Gestell (stg5 midboss) releases on the ground cannot destroy your fighter, so no need for suspicion. I imagine he uses a emulator for recording purposes.

Khoa, the guy playing, also has a very detailed faq for doing the run you see in the vidoes.
