Thank you for uploading the album. I loved "Core" back in the day and every subsequent album. You are right; the heavy songs are inventive and strong while the slow songs like this one ^ are just beautiful.
if only it wasn't for the poor choice for a single "days of the week", ANY other song on this album would have a WAAAAY better choice. This song is the best....
@zerutuby I like that this and most of the songs on their albums that I love the most were never singles, actually. Then it makes them less known. I find that singles of bands often end up becoming hated eventually by the majority of people. I don't know what it is but I tend to prefer songs that weren't singles to songs that were, with most bands.....I like that they remain "underplayed" and especially important to those fewer people who take the time to really listen to bands' entire albums.
Thank you so much for uploading these songs! I must have this album. It's sound is often light, but much of the lyrics on Shangri are tender, heavy, personal and touching. These songs touch me because I can relate to the melancholy, the darkness and the light that I am hearing.
@iamcasihart You are definitely welcome. This is my favorite STP album, though I gotta say they're all great....I need to get the other songs from this album working on here (they got blocked initially). Indeed this is a really beautiful song.
@imh4444 I look forward to hearing the other songs you plan to upload. I suspect that like many others, I totally "missed" Shangri-La Dee Da when it was released. Such a shame. Currently, I have Core, Purple, #4 and both of Weiland's solo albums. I need Shangri, Tiny Songs and their newest album. I REALLY want the "Thank You" DVD and CD. That will be my next gift to myself. :-)
