She's just as cheap, pathetic, and evil as the rest of them. AH YES! Another "Oh yeah, I'm a Born again Christian so I'm totally forgiven absolutely with no responsibility whatsoever to what happened before" Dream on, I think Christ deserves an Awful lot more respect than that! Such a disgusting cop out.
What is amazing is that Share is now in her late sixties, and I saw her in another interview recently. I cannot believe how young she still looks, pretty much like in this video. You would think with all the drugs and sex along with the hard lifestyle out there in the desert would have taken their toll eventually, but not in her case.
This video shows how these people were so not themselves in those days of the crimes. It is incredible the distance between this woman and the woman she was for a time under the influence of the Manson Family. It's like they were two different human beings. (Please excuse my english.)
Share had an interesting life prior to the Manson Family. She was born in Nazi occupied Paris during World War II, and one of her parents was Jewish. Both her mother and father committed suicide during the war, and she was adopted by an American couple. Her adoptive mother killed herself after being diagnosed with cancer, and she cared for her blind adoptive father until he got remarried. She was a violin virtuoso, an excellent singer, and went to college for three years.
@ligreekguy She is a blessing. She was there in hell in 1969 and could come up from it triumphant and become a speaker against cults. Never ceases to amaze and please me. She is one living prove that the other Manson Girls who claim repentment were just sick people at the time of the crimes and not liars or born criminals as some prejudiced fools say.
@elsuperbrain If it had been your family they had murdered you probably would feel a lot differently. Her apparent attempt to excuse Manson is pathetic.
That is absolutely correct. Not being my family the ones that got murdered, I am in a better position to evaluate/judge the case exercizing intelligence and objetive scrutiny of the facts of the case. If it was my family, then my personal pain would fog my judgement and I could not come up with a fair evaluation of the level of guilt of these people. Dave, you are absolutely right.
Freedom for Leslie van Houten and Patricia Krenwinkle.
It is important that you know what are you talking about. Gypsy is not in an "attempt to excuse Manson" as you say. But the contrary to that. She is a speaker against Mansons influence and against cults.
It's always funny to hear "'60's hip dude talk" in the present day. These people's (Manson and his still-incarcerated disciples) last day on this planet was really in 1969. It's like listening through a time machine.
We all make mistakes, and although I do NOT think any of the killers should be set free, as a born again Christian, I'm glad that the ones who have accepted Christ had the opportunity to do so. I don't feel that Gypsy is blaming Manson for her behavior. She even states that she is responsible for her actions. I'm happy for her that she's been able to turn her life around.
@ther6925 - too bad the whore doesn't have to pay for her crimes. She actively recruited members of the Manson family. She was just fine with all of the murders for years afterwards. Now,she's singing a different tune. Sorry, you cannot forgive her. She didn't do anything to you. Furthermore, she bore false witness against Linda Kasabian, claiming Linda masterminded all of the killings.
funny how she, like a year (or something like that) after the trial had ended she helped rob a gun store. a lot of former family members today tries to come "clean" by pushing it of like "I was forced, I was threatened, I didn't have a choice."
@DanHagen20 Don't they "ALL" go Christian after being caught? What else do they have to make people believe they are no longer a threat? Ugh! They kill me.
What a fucking nut case. I wish Vince would have gotten up and bitch slapped her. Any coincidence that 'gypsy' waited to come clean--confess--make her peace--until the statute of limitations had run its course.................. .
Can't believe how some women cry and carry on about men, and then some pick this prize (Manson)! Just incredible. Well Vince you sure made a lot of $ on this whole grisly episode. What a life!
Gypsy Found"JESUS" BS ballony!!! She suffered abuse? The very Person that dragged Linda Kasabian into the "den of Killers & drug Addicts, Nobody with intelligence thinks she is an "innocent victim" She should ROT in prison with the rest of them!
She didn't drag anybody. Linda Kasabian was lost and confused and, until the murders, she was very happy that Gypsy brought her to Manson. She isn't stupid enough to blame anybody else for her actions. Kasabian choose to join the family, even if Gypsy brought her to the ranch. Your comment is incredibly ignorant.
Lying is right? She's denying just as much, if not more than Charlie. She's trying to make herself look like a saint by denying and lying. If she really wanted to make amends and fix things, she would tell the truth. All she wants to do is make herself look good. That's not the right thing. So what right thing are you talking about? Lies? Denial? Refusal to take responsibility for anything she did or supported?
She has, this has been confirmed by the other 4. Why would they lie so she can remain free? She was young with 2 kids, made a bad choice. At the moment, she didnt know what to do fearing for her life, Just go ahead and say Charlie is innocent, because I know thats what you are getting at.
Wait I was thinking about Linda Kasabian, gypsy wasnt even at the scene of the murder. She just all together was with the wrong crowd, but Linda wasnt forced in, but gypsy is taking blame here
When was Linda brought up here? Gypsy isn't taking blame, she's saying "I was older and smarter and I knew everything was wrong and I would never have done anything wrong" and a bunch of other lies and bullshit. How is knowing a lie is a lie saying a cult leader is innocent? Pretty sure I never said or believed that. But thanks, hun. ;P
Does anyone know the name of the guitar tone from 4:34 to 4:50 again. Or was it just made for this video. I so wanna hear it and play it on the guitar.
This might sound weird, but what is the name of that song with the guitar tone at the end of this video? Is it even from a song? I love it! From 4:34 to 4:50.
hold on a second, wasnt she part of the police shootout at a gun store later in a dumb plot to hijack an aircraft n get manson freed??? complete liar- i guess she was made do it!?
No, that wasn't Squeaky Fromme. That was Gypsy, or Catherine Share, the woman in this video...among others, of course. She has broken many laws, and she went to prison for (I think) about 6 years for the gun store robbery and shoot-out with police. She's damn lucky she didn't get 20 years for this. She was shot in the shoulder during the incident.
@faffaflunkie completely agree! He was too gutless to kill someone in cold blood, in fact he didnt even stick around for any of the murders! theyre all total fuckers, it drives me nuts that Tex Watson was able to marry and have kids behind bars
@jamesmcgove The really sad thing is that Manson took the most pleasure in watching the utter and complete destruction of his disciples. He (Manson) never took credit for any of the killings but he always reminds us that that his followers include "the kid of a rocket scientist". They (his followers) have undergone "deprogramming" and understand this now and the followers still in prison try very hard to "distance" themselves from him as it is their only chance to avoid the fate of Susan Atkins.
@jamesmcgove I'd like to know how the then head of U.C.L.A.'s neuropsychiatric hospital, the late Dr. Louis West (who treated Manson, post facto), came to the conclusion 25 years ago that they all were "cured" and could be set free. It really looked like all of them, with the possible exception of Manson himself were going home. You know "Tex" would have killed again. Di Carlo, who was never indicted for the gruesome Hinman killing apparently went on a two country crime spree after the trials.
@faffaflunkie Danny Di Carlo? Damn i didnt know that im off to look it up dude cheers! Ive often wondered something, the ease and quickness at which Tex gunned down Steve parent, do you think it was the first time he had ever killed somebody? Not a moments hesitation
@jamesmcgove Yes she was.On August 21, 1971,Catherine "Gypsy" Share accompanied by Mary Brunner and several male Family associates — Dennis Rice, Charles Lovett, Larry Bailey, and Kenneth Como drove a white van to a Hawthorne, California Western Surplus Store to steal ammunition and firearms. Their plan was to highjack a 747 and threaten to kill 1 passenger every hour until Manson and other family members were released from jail.Google Hawthorne shootout for more information.
Always wondered what happenned to Gypsy. Of course she's now a born again Christian, the last refuge of a scoundrel. She can seek all the forgiveness one wants, doesnt' mean that she'll get it from god or anybody else.
I don't believe a single word this lady says. She was a devotee up to the bitter end. All of these people are criminals, and w/all the LSD they took I don't think they have a firm grasp on reality at all.
Vince Bugliosi is a prosecuter. By definition he's a lying, self-serving sack of shit. The better a liar a DA is, the more money he makes, and "The Bug" may be the richest DA in the world.
Now he's pushing more lies, trying to convince us that Oswald was the lone assassin of J.F.K. Propaganda is an art form. Bugliosi is an artist.
How would Bugliosi have made a difference in the O.J. trial? All of the jurors that made it through to the end had already decided Simpson's fate before they sat down in their box. The (White) ones who disagreed with them were ejected, one by one, before the trial was over. (For being "racists" of course)
yeah. how dare a DA put psychopathic sadistic murderers behind bars! they should be free to roam the streets killing. maybe if they showed up at your house and killed your family in the night, you might feel differently.
"Like all of us were". Thx for outing yourself. Did'nt know they got youtube in prison. At least I hope those, like yourself, who were "willing" are there.
