There is no caffeine in raw chocolate.therobomine, also known as xantheose, is a bitter alkaloid.It has a similar effect to caffeine. And is less than 20mg/g. I prefer it myself to carob because of the energy boost it gives me. I can handle a little bitter. But that's just me. As far as fats, the fats in dark chocolate is good fat. And try not to get carried away with counting calories. Metabolism is the key. I lost 108 pounds in a year with it. Get a good "raw chocolate".
The carob bean does exactly the same as chocolate but with carob there is no therobomine and no caffiene. And carob is sweet naturally. It is not bitter.

Chocolate is high in fat, sugar and dairy products(unless they use soya or nut milks). 100g of chocolate gives you around 550 calories. If you want to get fat eat chocolate.

Therobomine(excuse my spelling): isn't that poison to dogs? 200g of chocolate is enough to kill a dog and yet we eat the stuff by the ton every year.
I perfer carob. It tastes just like chocolate but with no therobomine and caffiene.
