What defines a note? Theoretically, expending the least amount of breath possible to make a noise, the longest note should be only a bit longer than people can hold their breaths. Open your mouth wide and make a noise with the back of your throat. Is that a "note"? I bet you could hold that for a freaking long time.

Seriously, I am an amateur singer and I just tested how long I can do it... I tried C3 and I kept it stable for 67 seconds and I could do 90 for sure after some practise!
