  • I want to work for you guys. How do I apply?

  • they should have made all versions of this jet capable of STOVL.

  • Comment removed

  • the harriers look alot better that this but this is just epic when not in VTOL

  • I can't wait till we find an excuse to use these bad boys!

  • What is wrong, F-35 is being shown injustice, anyone who stands up and gives good points on this plane, there comments are either being removed or marked as spam????

  • Just wish the A and C variants had TVC.

  • I see areas where the F-35 can be condensed to two production models. The dual nosewheel is good for all Services, as it can better handle hard landings ashore as well as afloat, plus provide more secure tractor hookup for towing; the carrier-grade tailhook likewise, for trapping on land in the event of a nozzle failure (the Air Force has such a contingency, while the Navy and USMC trap routinely on expedition as well as at sea).

  • @supergenration Interesting...... Vietnam- Left for political reasons. Gulf War- won. Iraq-won. Afghanistan- winning

  • I HEARD IT IS A SHITTY PLANE.......SECOND TO USELESS.....PLEASE TELL ME THE REAL STORY GUYS...

  • @supergenration As a matter of fact, its the most versatile plane in the world. 1st ever to come in all 3 different variants, and 1st ever to do supercruise and VTOL and highly maneuverable for its class.

  • Look up Yakovlev Yak-41. F-35 designs were ripped off from russia.

  • @NiamOfAsuras except the F-35 adds to that basic design by adding stealth and inboard missles/weapons... and super cruise without afterburners

  • @NiamOfAsuras The VTOL design was sold to F-35.

  • @F22raptor46 Yet Lockheed Martin markets it as "American innovation"... bullshit at its best, and the only thing the country which has lost or beeing forced out of every war it entered since vietnam is good at.

  • @F22raptor46 U R soo right ...Yak sold the designe to lookhead

  • @mauricioalfredo83 Yup, because the Yak was never gona make it since it fell victim to low funding, so they decided to sell the design to lockheed martin as America already had a VTOL jet in service and was looking for new ways to replace them.

  • @F22raptor46 yep..they only could make 1 training airplane in 20 yeras...Plus I dont make laught about F35 fail like F22 ...I liked the YF23 instead couse I see right now NO lookhead airplane have been sucsesful just the oposite point whit McDonell F15 or F18E

  • @mauricioalfredo83 Actually although YF-23 being more stealthy and faster. the F-22 was taken cause it was more feasible design and more maneuverable. Also cheaper.

  • @mauricioalfredo83 But the F-22 is still a great success of being the best plane in the world, despite its cost.

  • Why Saudi ARabia WONT BUY F-35

  • @alhilalclub1001 cause they dont need to spend the money in useless crap like this... f-15 can do a better job, and cheaper

  • Can't wait to see these guys in service!

  • Just cool, go and kick the Communists for us.

  • Just keeps getting more expencive.

  • @aandc2005

    PAK-FA

  • @buddacafe

Yeah, look at your countries debt. Cya.

  • @CaptainMorgan896 Thats not an F-16

  • @F22raptor46 The chase plane filming is an F-16 and it has a Danish roundel.

  • when it comes to killing people... USA is the best!

  • CANCELLED

That's what happens when the government gives CORPORATE WELFARE to a company who makes it's money keeping us involved in WAR.

The Republifags criticize Obama for helping GM - but, where is the backlash at Sam Nunn and Newt Gingrich.

    FUCK EM ALL.

  • Great aircraft if any country can actually take delivery of theres.

  • @MrJavc1024 The old STOVL designs were, but the newer STOVL system that was made and incorporated into this aircraft can reach a top speed of Mach 1.6 and that's fast anyway you look at it.

  • What song is that playing???

  • I don't like VTOL it's to slow isn't?

  • @MrJavc1024 No, as a matter of fact it can supercruise.

  • @F22raptor46 are you kidding me? The f-35 has been proven to be inferior in climb, turning radius and speed to other modern day jets. Its a sitting duck in a duck fight! Also CAS with these planes will be horrible. They are taken down by just one 50.cal bullet, how will the f-35 be able to get close to the ground without being able to take a hit?! The A-10 (which this horrible plane is replacing as well) can take LOTS of damage and still fly perfectly!...

  • @F22raptor46(continued) the only variant that is decent is the "C" version but even then it isn't much better than jets we already have, well not good enough to spend well needed money on.

  • @mike123asd Also the B is getting inducted, cause the Harriers have gotten old, and this plane is the most rigorously tested plane, cause Lockheed made 1st priority to remove all the weak and bad things in this plane, already they've shown improvement like they got rid off the weight problem in B and also the arrestor cable and fuel dump system in C. now they're improvising the design more and more.

  • @F22raptor46 No, this plane cannot supercruise. If you insist that it does please provide a reference.

  • @hdmccart This plane can, see its specs, look in text books or google it. And the only reason it is having problems is cause it is brand new technology. It will be perfected just give it some time.

  • @F22raptor46 Do you understand what supercruise is? The F135/F136 engines are not designed to supercruise in the F-35.

  • @hdmccart New engines are being put in this plane as upgrades, they can.

  • what happened at 0:56

  • @7halos1 its the fuel dumping system, its for getting rid of fuel to make the aircraft lighter and decrease the chances of a fire in case it has to make an emergency landing.

  • @7halos1 its not to reduce the chances of a fire. Aircraft cannot land with a full payload otherwise you put to much stress on engines(VTOL) or the larding gear upon impact on the landing. With huge military budgets, that quantity of fuel is dirt cheap.

  • @MikeNspicy ....and if you put too much strain on the engine or landing gear and the a/c crashes....what happens...it catches fire. Fuel dumping prevents/reduces fires.

  • What is that music track? Sounds awesome!

  • that is awsome

  • I still prefer the F22...

P.S. You should sue Electronic Arts and DICE for making your plane look and play like shit in Battlefield3.

  • @blobber01 f-22? sorry, i like f-20 tigershark too, but like this f-35, is just a cancelled project... wasted money

but if you feel nostalgic, you can buy an f-22 model kit, assemble it, paint it, and when it's dry, grab it and move it across your room making sounds like *SWOOOOOOOOSH SWOOOOOOOSH PEW PEW PEW PEW*

  • OMG design sucks !!!

  • he looks like a brick with little wings

  • ugliest plane ever

  • @IamRussianSoldier Rafale is uglier, this is still beautiful.

  • @mjmorrow76 Right you are, cause this plane is the key to the future, already most of the main problems are already taken care of. E.G - weight problem in F-35B.

  • The design of this jet is stolen from Battlefield 3. EA must file a law suit and demand billions of $ in damages.

  • @SudiArabia Duh, this plane was a prototype right from before, this plane was used in BF3, look out in the world around you and dont just sit playing video games.

  • I like how at 1:09 it showed it flying with an F-16 so its like old school and new.

  • Comment removed

  • @ComradeMing more like upgraded version, the F-22, despite its name, was more of an interceptor, or at least looked and preformed better as one, the F-35 is geared more towards the Fight/support field. the F in these names stand for Fighter btw. and interceptor roles are for fast reaction to bombings, so the F-22 is best at that cause its stealth, fast, and very maneuverable.

  • BF3

  • jaja en el area 51

  • Now we enter unmanned fighter jets. The US is years ahead of the game. When it comes to high end software, Russia is so fucked.

  • @buddacafe

Shame you got the minds of children to go with it all though, isn't it.....

  • @phuturephunk01 One word "Coward". Enjoy your glass of wine on the beaches of the US. "YOU DESERVED IT".

  • @buddacafe

    Hahaha

    Douche

  • @buddacafe Hopefully there isn't need for US and Russia to take up arms against each other!

It would be best if we actually could have peace between us. Don't know if that will happen forever but it would be best.

I personally have no hatred for the Russian people.

  • @buddacafe

unless you have inside knowledge of just what the russians actually have, thats quite probably one of the most laughably ignorant comments on youtube.

    you have no idea, frankly.

  • @TheDarwiniser The problem is that NOBODY HAS THE KNOWLEDGE on what Russia actually have. Why? Because they don't want to show the world how their equipment is rotting away and not being maintenanced because they can't afford it. Nor could they afford upgrades to any of their equipment. Their focus is on space technology. PERIOD!

  • @buddacafe

you lurch from one grand sweeping statement to the next.

all with no source or verifiable truth included.

    you have no idea, frankly.

  • @buddacafe actually history will tell you america keeps its secrets much much tighter then russia hell between russia selling its tech and showing it off its fair to say that they dont ahve any big suprises up there sleeves....

not to mention the fact russia military has fallen off alot since the 90s and there not really a big threat to america...

  • @with33 You have to be joking right? The world (i do mean the world) watching American news because they can educate them selves to everything going on in (not only America) but in their own country. How can you say that?

  • @buddacafe so you gonna say because american news is not cencored that it leaks top secret military secrets?

because i hate to say it but we dont find out shit on the news about america military tech until its old and has a replacment..

and dont say shit about the drone because it was 8 years old tech.... and we still dont know much about it and what it could do...

  • @buddacafe Yeah but this plane is half British though remember that.

  • @CanadianPatriots1867 This entire plane was designed by the US. The British and other participating countries help build certain sections to offset the cost. They were handed the blue prints to do their part. Not to mention, the British will not get a Tier 4 plane. Some secrets stay with the US.

  • @buddacafe Yes the A model and the C but the B model which has the vertical takeoff and landing has a lot of the British Harrier in it and that’s where BEA systems has a lot do with the plane where the US lacks the technology to make a plane like that that’s why you bot the Harrier from them and had them on your assault ships for the last 30m years just saying.

  • @CanadianPatriots1867 You kind of change the subject but that's ok. If your looking for kudos, then yes. British are founders of vertical take-off. However Harrier is beyond dangerous. Everything is manual, where F-35's vertical take-off is programmed auto pilot. I'm not sure what you mean by 'lot of British'. Nobody but US implemented thrust using the main rear engine.

  • @buddacafe I never changed the subject ether way the plane is half British like it or not it’s a fact yes the US has secrets but so does the UK and they don’t put as much money into the program but there still their so yeah I was just stating a fact :p

  • @buddacafe Just because you parade your military technology does not necessarily mean you have the technological advantage. Y'know what they say - It's the quiet ones you have to watch out for.

  • @buddacafe no Korea is so fucked

  • @buddacafe I don't think so, Russian engineers are more inventive than US, in many fields, what 'high end software'? like that banking software that Russian hackers penetrate every time? or like the software of Patriot that failed, or is it the software of Bushe's ballistic missile shield where in 3 out of 4 tests the missile failed to hit the target, where's the 'high end software'?

  • @buddacafe Patriot missile finally was upgraded by Siemens, and others, but mainly german engineers, and managed to make it somewhat operational. No single country can claim creativity

  • @buddacafe Dude we are allies with russia -.-

  • @buddacafe Funny thing military technology; someone is always coming up with something better and that 'better' comes from some brain. Sure it takes money, but for the really new gizmo its the luck of the brain on hand. Perfected, rail gun technology, will make most surface and air weapons systems obsolete. Maybe we should be going for lunar mining colonies instead of things to kill each other with. I'd be much more impressed with human intelligence minus the killer ape thing.

  • @buddacafe Don´t forget China m8..

  • @buddacafe yes the only thing missing is stealth and there electronics, if they had that then we might be fucked!

  • @aandc2005 Dont worry we wont be.

  • Could outrun the cops easy with that.

  • you can buy one at cheaper then dirt for half the price!

  • I just don't like the look of the F35. Not sure why.

  • 1:47 the aircraft have lost the altitude while performing an axial spin.

  • @MrMamurk

    wikipedia[dot]org/wiki/Barrel_roll#Canopy_roll

  • @redbeast2 The name of the maneuver doesn't matter so much (although english is foreign language for me, but I've pointed the time of video, it is enough to understand what I am talking about). The fact is: F-35 constantly loses the altitude with this maneuver. See 1:47.

  • @MrMamurk That's what a canopy roll is supposed to be used for: to lose altitude. You should have read the wikipedia link I posted.

  • stfu all

  • Also, before I forget; you're going to build an air force with thousands of these things, just.... show us army vets some love and pump out a few hundred more A-10C's?

I don't care how many bells and whistles you have; You can't play in the mud if you're not slow and low.

Not sure who that was directed to... but ya'll get my point.

  • Lotta nay-sayers out there; but a lot rides on this bird; so I can't blame 'em. This didnt work with the F-111; but that was the 60's; this is the 21st century and if anyone can make the F-35 successful as a tri-service war bird, its Lockheed Martin.

I got to ask; if the C is supposed to have 200+ square feet of wing area; which means moderately lower wing loading so... not factoring that added weight for the beefier gear; wont that make the C more maneuverable than the A and B?

  • Introduction 2016–2018

  • @usmceflips wrong... introduction: NEVER, project cancelled, like the f-22, useless waste of money

  • @YogDodoth wow you live under rock they even have official videos

  • @usmceflips official videos of a project cancelled... lockheed has built lots of f-22 and lots of f-35, i know, but the PROJECT WAS CANCELLED due to the expensive maintenance of these jets, now these planes are left to rust in some hangars... and no one want to buy f-35 cause is extremelly expensive to maintain and totally unnecesary.. just check the news, im not lying..

  • @YogDodoth Japan bought 45

  • It'd be nice to be selected to pilot one of these. Beautiful aircraft! the engineers really were brilliant and still are continuing to be it seems.

  • Does anyone know of a page or something where i can look up the specs to this plane and maybe a comparison to the f22 ( i know theyre 2 cvery different planes but theyre both new..ish and i'd like to see em side by side)

    Or is it still classified?

  • Thanks! This is my favorite aircraft!

  • beauty

  • I'm a bit annoyed how the f-35 was originally meant to be a project between USAF, USN, USMC, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. But now all these other countries (E.G. Australia, Saudi Arabia) are buying their way into the project. Sure, the original services are stil going to have the most (in order above) aircraft, but it just doesn't seem right. :/

  • @TheZNXY If thats true then I gotta with that... The F-35 is supposed to be OUR jet

  • @TheZNXY

Australia is your Ally, you've been providing us with aircraft since WWII, and plus Australia was with the program from the start, we joined at the same time as the RAF. The F-35 is our only option unless we but the PAK-FA from Russia, which i don't think your country wants us to.

  • @reegobloke Wow I was just looking at pics of the PAK-FA and it's stunning how much of a rip off it is!

If it was a product for public sale the US could easily win a court case agains them for stealing the design and look!

  • @TheZNXY Why be annoyed at Australia? as the other guy said we have been in alliance with the US since WW2. Were one of the VERY few others that helped you out in Vietnam , Were in Afghanistan and Iraq with you right now and we conduct excersizes with you guys every year, naval , army and airforce. Shit i even married an american girl.

Cmon champ, no need to get annoyed :D

  • @Antifaith29 Word..

  • @Antifaith29 Yes you are the most brainwashed country. have five !!!

  • @Antifaith29 Australia is America, whats the difference between our cultures? Aside from we Aussie drive on the other side of the road we are the same in almost every other aspect

  • @Lukeclout Have you been to the U.S? I lived there for 3 years. It's a culture heavily engaged in the whole Christian thing, i mean theyre fucking nuts over it. There are plenty of simarlarties yes but were closer to the english than the americans, by far. We also have our very unique sence of humor ( shared by the english again , the yanks just dont understand it).. were not a gun crazed nation, unlike the yanks. There are so many differences its not funny. Im sorry, you're wrong.

  • @Antifaith29 Whats wrong with (the whole Christian thing). Are you against Christianity?

  • @CanadianPatriots1867 Im over religion in any form having power it shouldnt have. Sure it comes to us all smiley faced now but thats only because it has to. This isnt the place for a debate on that though , i was just using it to make a point on differences between the countries.

  • @Antifaith29 Well everyone has their opinion and the right to it in this society so yeah and yes this isn’t the right place to talk about it.

  • @Lukeclout That said, theres no reason the two countries cant get along and we DO get along quite well. :)

  • I'm a bit annoyed how the F-35

  • talk about OVER EDITING

  • How much does one unit cost ? It seems like a heck of an expensive piece of equipment.

  • @SteelScream88 You should go watch pottery videos.

  • crazy airplane^^

  • Amazing! PAKFA is also good too. But probably will get get in combat with each other.

  • @megamind0001 The F-35, using it's APG-81 and AN/ASQ-239 radar / ECM hardware can invade enemy radar networks and create false images or simply overload them with data, rendering entire SAM networks useless.

In the next couple of years when Block 3, etc updates take place, the F-35 will become capable of frying enemy electronics with focused microwave energy from its radar.

Besides that, the F-35 pilots can literally see through the floor or walls of the cockpit and fire at targets behind them

  • 2:09 what is it doing? is it opening up like that to do a hover-landing?

  • According to Ben Rich (god bless him) you've got some pretty nifty other hardware as well.

  • BRADDDD MATEE!!

  • I love the "baby raptor" look to these things! Great job Lockheed!

  • 1 Chinese hacker is angry that he was locked out before he could steal the docs

  • the best

  • Does the C have the same main landing gear as the A?

  • @Battery9876

No. The C has bulkier landing gear to allow it to land onto carriers.

  • @Battery9876 The c will defiantly not have the same landing gear as the a cause the c will land on aircraft carriers. The landing gear for carrier jets are made extremely tougher and rigid compared to air force jets.

  • @nimaside I thought for commonality and economy of scale they would have used the same MAIN landing gear.

  • love this plane, only wish the UK would buy more F-35Cs than 40

  • @viper8707 It is good maybe there isn't need for more than 40?

I'm glad that we are providing this plane to our allies. Not implying that it's free to them but that we are making it available.

  • People, type in google:

    F35 failure

  • since when did the C have larger wings?

  • @mothrabattra following navy requirements

  • i like f-35 c

  • Someday I'm going to be flying one of these variants

  • When are you gonna show the really cool stuff? The stuff we already know you have but wont show.

  • The F35 and F22 are remarkable aircraft... however I'm concerned that these investments are about to go the way the wooden sailing frigate and the cavalry horse. The potential of unmanned aircraft within the 10-15 years greatly exceeds the potential of these aircraft. I have my doubts that they'll ever live up to the cost and price of deployment,

  • Now lease F-35C carrier landing vid

  • @pepko94 Sorry - these tests haven't been conducted yet. Shipboard testing of the F-35C aboard a CVN-68 class aircraft carrier is scheduled to take place in 2013.

  • Damit, i wanted to see it

  • @pepko94 When it does happen, we'll post the videos.
