to the older comments, I don't think Loudness suffered from "being asian", it contributed to a lot of their sound as much as western music was when it was being funneled over to Asia in the 80's and 90's. Loudness did do well in the 80's internationally, touring with Motley Crue, AC/DC, and Poison, and a good amount of metalheads across the world own a couple of their classic lineup albums
If Loudness was American they would have been an International Sensation. It was a very racially uncomfortable period. Its great though that they are having a revival. I love the Self Titled Album, def. on par with the Pantera'esque groove metal that was just coming to life in the early 90's.
