  • i have this on my ipod and i watch this on the bus and when i get bored in class incase of a ww2 history pop quiz but i have studied the war for 8 years so im already ok but i can add exta info for extra credit

  • "The plane bounces off the ship's island and crashes into the flight deck in a ball of mangled, twisted steel"

Quite a feat seeing as with most aircraft, it would have been a ball of mangled, twisted aluminum.

  • God Damn those japs dropped the hammer on the Hornet!

  • ...USS Hornet got PWNED!...

  • @SteveSabbai PWNED...... are you a retarded or just don't know how to speak

  • ok, where the HELL were the wildcats!?

  • @MegaUsalover

Probably dog fighting with the Japanese Zeros Escorts. This is point of the war, Zero pilots are better trained and have a better plane, so the wildcats probably had a real tough time.

  • the man who said the pen is mighter than the sword never experienced fully automatic fire - macarthur

  • @Sturmmann

MacAruthur helped hide the war crimes of Shiro Ishii and Unit 731. By aiding war criminals himself he bordered closely on treason. Not to mention his plans for X-day were filled with little less than absolute folly and insanity.

  • @THEVETERAN7

may be so, the burden on a leader is heavy.

1 question was asked... could we benefit from their research?

    everything else was ignored

  • @THEVETERAN7

Macarthur was a criminal. Had he been a german or japanese, he would have been hanged after the war.

  • japs sank the Hornet we sank the Yamato

  • Northampton tried but the Japanese had Hornet sunk. now its only Big E left until Saratoga leaves dry dock.

  • The narrator speaks so epic-like.

  • Poor Hornet.........you were a fine ship....

  • It's so hard watching Hornet suffer like this.

  • @sunnchilde What about the Lexington? Men stood there crying as she went beneath the waves

  • @sunnchilde

So sensitive when it's your own country.

  • Hornet = owned

  • @TheZuikaku have some respect man ...

  • @sajuuk212

Sensitive about your own losses. Don't care much for the enemy.

  • @TheZuikaku

hiroshima, nagasaki = ownage like never before in history

  • honour them!

  • Enterprise saw more action than any other ship in service

  • wow

  • I'd would just like to jump off my plane then let the plane ram the ship and swim back and do it again!!!!!

  • No, if your plane is on fire or damaged it would spiral out of control!

  • "the lucky ones never knew what hit them" isn't that the truth

  • this series used some clips from dogfights

  • @sad4563 took ya long enough to figure that one out.

  • was this the first time the japanese pilots used suicide attacks?

  • he only rammed the ship because he was about to be shot down anyways. if u were on fire and had a choice to just crash, or to ram your enemy, what would u choose?

  • true

  • i think this is more tense than the show entitled "dogfights"...

  • wow bloody
