this is a smokey robinson song, written and produced by him in the early 80,. D'angelo re-recorded the song in the 90's

Belss your heart. you thought cruising was by D'angelo. No Thats a Smokey Classic. Cruising, Old fashioned Love, Being with you, and Quiet Storm were in Smokey's later period .. Late 70's early 80's. Smokey has had what 4 careers 60's 70's 80's and 90's. Motown days, then came the quiet storm and funk days,then yet still he came back in the 90's with One heartbeat and others.
