@Croltown The new queen can produce creep tumors that extend creep like creep colonies did in Brood War. It can spawn extra larvae at hatcheries to churn out units more quickly, and it can heal 125 hit points to biological (i.e. other Zerg) units.

That may be true, but most RTS games are terrible with balance issues and sub par interfaces. The original Starcraft is widely percieved as the greatest RTS ever made.

this pathfinding stuff with the crowds of Zerg that flow through each other like oil is pretty awesome anyway, and pretty new for games

it's great to have the computer finally doing some real work aside from just graphics, in one of these clickity click click click realtime games where normally it's the human player who's supposed to act all robotic

next thing you know they'll get some real AI in there and then we'll see what's what

the style is generally bland and ordinary because stuff that's weird and exciting is harder to make right and doesn't sell as well, and Blizzard is a conservative company in this regard--they excel in polish, not in innovation

not that any of that matters too much, it's probably an excellent game and would probably remain so even with NES-level graphics

In their current state yes. But if you've been keeping up with the patch notes you will see that unit abilities get revamped quite a bit.

On a side note, I'm really looking forward to see Blizzard's replacement for the Reaver. Apparently they are working on one.

No, but to have the regen while on the surface(not burrowed) you have to upgrade it, and it needs a hive, so it needs Late game.
