Actually the muppets and the sesame street puppets are all 'muppets' made by the jim henson company. Kermit appeared on sesame street frequently, though most of the others were muppet show/movie exclusive.

So to be more correct, sesame street is apart of the muppets, but they aren't featured in this film.
