Glad I found your site! Your providing a great service to everyone. Training is easy, eating and cooking clean is the hard part. Thank you, and keep up the good work!
Why bother spraying oil because nobody eats the skin? Doesn't matter if it sticks. Besides, after cooking the grease is flowing all over the place and u are not able to to use that foil again.
@apxeli It's still easier to remove the fish this way. I haven't had a problem with grease ever and foil is so inexpensive I don't see the purpose of reusing it. But it's all about what's easiest for you!
@CampbellFitness That salmon recipe came out awesome! Good flavor, easy to make and quick too. I substituted the greens you had and made a nice big green salad with light balsamic dressing. For sure going in the recipe file. Thanks again.
@jiujitsurub You can do a simple search on the web for "salmon nutrition value." Gaining muscle is a long hard process. It really depends on your diet (overall macronutrient intake), Training and Rest.
Dijon has salt AND pepper, just add honey to taste.
or try this, since the mustard runs off during bake try a simple dry rub ( spices and maybe ground almonds or pistachio ) on the fish and bake until nearly done then take it out and apply a thin glaze to the crust of your preference. Finish the cooking. Not the fish will be protected by the crust and stay moist and the glaze has full flavor and you use less of it so some money is saved too. IMO
@m4xfl4xst4r I didn't add salt to this, but I don't really mind having sodium in my diet as long as it's consistent on a day to day basis. Where people end up getting in trouble is by constantly altering their intake. You make some good suggestions for alternatives as well, but of all the times I've made this I've never had an issue with the mustard running off. Thanks for the insightful response!
This is not a bodybuilding meal... if it was there would be more carbs than protein... a bodbuilding diet consists of about 40% protein 50% carbs 10% fat or when cutting season tarts its 45% protein 45% carbs and 10% FAT.
@BodybuilderBeginner This def can be. This is part of a diet that consisted of a 45% carb, 35% protein and 20% fat diet. It fit into my daily macros which I was able to hit at the end of the day.
I think you have some of the better tattoos I've seen....Certainly on the internet. lol. At the same time I'm wondering why people are so focused on tattoos when this is a nutritional/ recipe video.
@CampbellFitness I'm not 100% sure how it is with fish but I do know that when something is heated above around 90c all the nutrients are destroyed. Although the asparagus and cucumber aren't complete amino acids, they still offer more usable protein than the fish.
@Mitchell9oh5 I think that's a big misconception a lot of people have. Heating food does not destroy nutrients really. Sure some vitamins are lost in the process, but not destroyed. In some cases, vegetables actually have higher levels of antioxidants when cooked.
@Drengen10 These were closer to 6oz worth of fish. In that there's about 36 grams of protein and 15 grams of fat. However, from what I've seen all nutritional info out there varies a bit.
@Drengen10 Yeah a lot of these numbers have some give to them depending on where you look. I buy them fresh so I just ask the person behind the counter to cut them bigger.
High protein/fiber meal: 1st learn to make Sofrito - if you find EBPMAN here has a video on how to make- all vegetable staple seasoning carribean people use - Next - kidney beans 15oz can. Med heat- 2-3 tblespn of olive oil, 2-3 spoonful of Sofrito - in a small deep pan - let it saute for a 1-2 min, add the beans - do not drain - next add about 1/2 can of water, add habanero sauce for kick,salt/pep to taste.bring to boil then cover, lower heat - let it cook about 20-30 min. delicious.
@CampbellFitness if you carbing, add a small potato and dice to very small pieces because potatos take longer to cook if cut large, so smaller they cook fast..I never tried sweet potato but I suppose that would work - also you can put in small pieces of chicken and let it cook..Also - people generally throw this over rice..btw.use PINK KIDNEY BEANS
I always like to throw in onion on it (greenonion is nice), and I season it with Adobo which is a latin seasoning you can find in your latin aisle in the store (its a benchmark seasoning)..I love the bread crumb idea - if you dont use that, then I would aluminum wrap the fish with what I mentioned - sometimes I even throw in red bell pepper..and sure enough after its cook - DELICIOUS - I do add a dab of olive oil..
@MYP90X2011 Nutrient timing isn't all it's cracked up to be. I like to eat a solid meal about 1.5 hours before workout. After workout I usually take some sort of shake with protein and carbs. About an hour later I'll eat again.
Wow! great contribution! I should be trying this too! Since bodybuilding will also need a good workout plan, let me share this site I found recently specially for beginners. They're offering programs for losing weight, body building & gaining lean muscles. It's for free so it wasn't easy to find. I couldn't post the site here so just check out my profile.
dont know if you mentioned it in any of your other videos but do you pyramid your carbs starting high in the morning and taper or do you divide it evenly throughout the day
@FreddyGaming This is just a low carb variation, if you add some rice/pasta/bread it'll bump up the calories and make this a more well rounded meal. Thanks for the comment!
@ledfarani If you eat a lot of fiber, drink a lot of water, and have a good dose of protein, you should be alright for a little while. When you diet, you are never really ever engorged or full.
I recommend chewing gum for those who want to keep themselves busy!
My only opinion on this is to make sure you get WILD caught salmon. The farmed salmon has color added and is fed a corn/grain diet, and because of this, they have virtually no good Omega 3 (EPA/DHA) fat in them. Think of corn fed beef vs grass fed. Wild salmon eat a natural diet from the ocean of plankton, small fish and krill (pink color) that gives them high Omega 3 fats.
What's up man? Great vids! :). Just wondering, why do you have so many different drums of supplements on your fridge? Are they different kinds of Whey Protein?
@AdamWest4life I try a lot of different things and I like to put a review up on YouTube before I toss the container. So those were just ones I needed to review!
@CampbellFitness OK thanks alot man :). Just wondering i you could help me on this problem too. I currently weigh about 290lbs and I'm 6ft 2 in height. I haven't been able to work out for the past 6 months as I had surgery on my back. I want to cut down to a ripped 205lbs. What food would you recommend for cutting fat really fast and also what would be the best exercises? Some people say high intensity cardio with a small amount of weight training, others say mainly weight training.
Since you haven't worked out in while, start slow. 30 minute brisk walks, circuit training on machines in the gym, etc. The worst thing you could do is re-injure yourself. But as the saying goes, abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym.
The fastest way to cut fat is carbohydrate cycling. Google for instructions. Regardless of diet approach, cut out ALL processed foods and drink only water. The best carbs are sweet potato, brown rice and natural oats. Have a green veggie with
green veggie with almost every meal (broc, aspar, peas, spinach, etc). Aim for 30-40gr of protein each meal. Get a high quality liquid fish oil like Carlsons. Basically, eat a lean protein (meat, whey or egg whites) and green veggie every 2-3hrs. Have carbs (oats) with breakfast and pre-workout meal (B rice or sweet potato). Look up your caloric requirements. A common split is 40/40/20, but if you're trying to lose fat fast maybe lower the carbs and up the good fats.
@AdamsOsiris Here's a quick answer, some carbs like white potatoes, rice, pasta and bread, can cause a quick rise in blood sugar. This results in increased insulin levels. Increased insulin levels have been tied to weight gain and increased hunger.
@pktlogic Just watch your caloric intake and you should start to lose a bit of weight, pair it with a good workout routine and you'll drop it in no time.
@TainaFAVlogs Ah I'm a big fan of asparagus, but you have to find what works best for you. If you make your diet up of foods you don't like, then it'll be hard to stick with it!
Thanks for making bbing cooking/meal vids, they really help out. It's just helpful to see the process from start to finish to be able to do it yourself.
@jakecore111 I could literally eat this every day. You don't have to do asparagus/cucumbers for sides but I just felt like it. Normally I'll do broccoli and a sweet potato.
@CampbellFitness I was going to have it with some fresh whole wheat bread and dip it in olive oil and balsamic vinegar to treat myself as Ive been pretty good lately. @jiujitsurub 1/2 filet or about 180 grams of salmon has 39 grams of protein.

@CampbellFitness where did you heard that? Because l was eating salmon 4 times a week...
And l was eating 10 oz filet ... I did that for 3 months , nothing changed ...

How come l didn't get extra muscle then??
