I'm instead to hear this album... I just found out about it maybe a few weeks ago I hadn't heard what it sounded like I think it would be worth picking up just from the couple of sound clips I have heard this morning.
I really dont know what to make of this album-its so different than his other stuff. There no real super intense songs, but it all just really seems to flow...it's as if every note was destined to follow the previous note, and what he plays just kind of clicks and sounds...right...if that makes any sense
well there are a couple of shite ones on there yes but the good ones far outweigh the bad. as for no intense songs ? what about andalusia or say the first half of asik veysel ? they f'ing rock !! u have to remember he married a chinky so shes a kind of yoko ono making him do loads of gook stuff like vai
Asik Veysel. Mr Satriani entitled another song with his name from the album. Veysel was a blind turkish troubadour. His instrumnet was a turkish string instrument called "saz". Mr Satriani might have heard him when he visited Turkey as part of his European Tour.
Hell yeah he is. Next to Hendrix, he's one of the greatest players to ever pick up the instrument. The man is 52 years old and his playing still blows my mind. He's my absolute favorite guitarist of all time.
I just got this new album the other day and I can't stop listening to it. It rocks!!
Just another...admist the GENIOUS...of Satch...no better...no less....just in LINE with the....BEST.
