AAAAAAGGGGGH I want to play this game but I got Windows XP And I got this game When I got Duke Nukem 3D and Atomic But It won't work.

It's mixed in with the SHARE folder in the cd drive.

Can anyone help me?

@nightfoxx26 Download the DosBox emulator.......then you'll be able to play the game normally, even with the original AdLib music.....

i also had the shareware version , i still remember playing this game when i was 9 , too bad i can´t play it anymore because of the operative system( windows 7). The music in this game especially the menu music is the best , very exciting and calm at the same time.

@nefiurki -- DosBox is all you need. Raptor runs pretty fine in it.

This game is probably the coolest of its type. What I really enjoy is the way you can destroy almost anything on the ground and leave ruins behind.

I tried activating the easter egg by changing the clock in my system tray, and by darkening the switch and turning on all the buttons. It didn't work either way. Is this a problem with DosBox or something? How can I fix it?

This so called "Battle Cow Mode" can be activated via two ways (working with the full version and the shareware version as well):

Start the game on a birthday of a programmer (this is why they are singing the apogee theme) or press the keys "S" "1" and "3" in a row in the sector selection screen. But those enemys are very very hard to kill

I don't know what you were trying to do with the switches before you actually got into the action, but I guess you failed miserably considering the lack of anything happening.

when you press all of the switches like that there is extra stuff that appears in the level. sometimes it can be just a lizard, and other times it can be a huge cow shooting very deadly lazers at you.

And a pathetic life at that. He did it the right way if you want to activate -everything-. Yes its normally done on, off, on, blackout the button, but if you do that, you activate all the stuff including the lizards and Battlecows. Its just that now activates at random on all maps for as long as the game's running, instead of only the map you play next.

You only have to press the switch, button one and the button three.. (also "S" "1" and "3" works...) this also happens when you start the game on a programers birthday... this "crazy cow" mode also works with the shareware version

I would just like to say that the only way to beat the Outer Regions in Raptor: Call of the shadow is to get a full complement of phase shields, daul lasers, and pulse wave. Nothing else is strong enough :P

You missed out big time, the dual laser beam shooting thingy? Holy hell, as soon as you got it you could basically take on everything and anything. Not to mention, the rest of Bravo Sector (and to a lesser extent Tango + Outer Reigons) was just epic. Definitely a game I'd love to find the floppy disks for again... *sigh*
