just basicly what was going on lol

Btw this is a great scene great dancers I love this ")

    xo0x

  • they're enemies, she cut her

  • The film is about a director who wants to remake the famous operatic play "Carmen," however he wants to remake it with a flamenco theme/spin to it. So, this scene is of the actresses (in the play) rehearsing the scene where the character Carmen kills a girl in a fight. So, no the girl didn't really kill her, they were rehearsing. The film is really good, I love the dance scenes, they're awesome. Hope this helps. :-)

  • @BeeAnne01 Hello BeeAnne01! This movie is based on the novel Carmen by Prosper Merimee. It tells the story of the femme fatale, Carmen: she kills a factory worker, two men fall in love with her, and one of them kills Carmen in the end. It is tragic love in its purest form. The movie by Carlos Saura uses flamenco dance and it is set sometime in the 1980's but the plot and characters follow the original storyline. Needless to say, there is no substitute for the real movie experience.

  • @BeeAnne01: No, she doesn't have her throat cut, but but there are moments in the film where reality blurs with the action in the play, and you can't tell at first what happened. The dance numbers are ferocious and intense. "Carmen" is finally out on DVD, but only as part of a trilogy.

  • @gombodog Yes, she does have her throat cut (in the dance, of course, not for real.) Check out the story of the opera "Carmen". That's why Carmen gets arrested and then the soldier gets arrested himself, for letting her go because he's out of his mind in love with her and she knows it and just uses him.

  • @BeeAnne01 it's from the opera Carmen. Carmen is a sexy firy seniorita and isn't scared to take your man.. Now the guy isn't exactly "her man" but she was eyeing him and put in some serious time playing hard to get... then here comes carmen & all she has to do is bat her eyelashes and he's putty. First rule about fight club? don't talk about fight club.

  • @BeeAnne01 Yes, the woman in black makes the mistake of provoking Carmen, and Carmen cuts her throat. They are deadly rivals. The girls are supposed to be working in a cigarette factory. This is also the story of the opera "Carmen" by Bizet.

  • Extraordinaire chorégraphie de la scène de la rixe de Carmen. Très grande réussite : bravo
