If you want to get your MBA, Stanford Graduate School of Business is the crème de la crème. Stanford is the most selective business school in the world, accepting only 6.5% of those who apply for admission.
I'm currently a Biotechnology and Bioinformatics student - and I'm looking forward to doing my MBA from Stanford. What I would like to know is how should I go about completing my application i.e. in terms of experience or leadership.
I'm still in highschool and I want to get in to Stanford but my gpa is only 3.7 but I take classes at the college. My aunt got in with a 3.79 or 3.97 according to her and she took classes at a college. It is only my junior year. Any tips on how I can make myself stand out more. And what type of sat score I would need
A 740 is an excellent GMAT score! They are definitely going to look at your entire package, so if you have other redeeming factors in your application (work experience, volunteerism, etc.) they may be willing to overlook at lower GPA. Another way to combat that is to address why you have a low GPA in your application essay. If you have a good reason - like a death in the family during one semester - you'll be likely to get sympathy from the ad com.

When you don’t know what true for you, everyone else has unusual influence.
Values are deeply held personal beliefs that form your own priority code for living.
Values are the individual biases that allow you to decide which actions are true for you alone.
What are your values?

What if you have a GPA of 2.6? And GMAT of 740? ANY chance at all at a top 10:?

@Cphari 2.6, well, I hate to say this but anything below 3.5 is a red flag for top 20 and below 3.0, Idk.

Funny that you ask about the MBA for engineers. We just produced a show on that very topic recently. Check it out on our web site!

What I would like to know is - how would MBA help an Engineer boost his or her career ? How would Engineer demonstrate his or her leadership ?
maxblacks 1 year ago
@maxblacks MBA teaches us to utilise the resources around us efficiently...
so if an engineer does MBA he can use all the engineering minds around him in the best way possible, ..this is what i know...........
actually i'm in senior high school.......and even i'm planning to do MBA after engineering......

It's good to learn on your mistakes.... BUT....
It's better to learn on other peoples mistakes!
I think that is why Stanford is so successful in Business. Prevent mistakes with GOOD care full Management. I hope STANFORD will take ME IN.
