If u are a good at training, outgoing, and savvy, you will do just fine...most pt's aren't making a ton of money. The only ones that really do work at expensive clubs ir have rich clients. So networking is def important as with anything. But this is not geberally a job that pays a whole lot.

It's true so many people not just personal trainers have no idea how to market themselves and should take as many classes on marketing as much as possible. What I find even funnier is they are so hard core at working out, but when they have to spend 20 minutes a day learning and applying how to market - they can't do it! :) This course would most likely be a good investment even if it brought only 1 new client every month - I get it, but then again I am not a personal trainer!

This is spot-on. The fitness courses are so much just that. I think that the assumption in fitness education has been that the students will find careers in a corporate and government institutional environment, and not running their own companies. Increasingly, of course, this is not so, and there is a big gap.
