I know I'm late but thank you very much for posting this video!! It definitely put my life in perspective. I have Epilepsy and most of what you put in the video will help me educate my friends about it. I went through all the stages of medications and even opted to get brain surgery since my seizures were so severe. I realize I'm more blessed than most of the other cases out there and I owe it all to God who let me live 20 years instead of 2 weeks that were not promised to me!

I have just had me first seizure after 6 years of been clear from my last one in 2004, it destroying, but me and many other people have to work out the triggers for their seizures this is the key to controlling epilepsy alongside medication. My triggers are stress and sleep deprivation, need to take care of myself more :)

I have epilepsy and have been suicidal a few times. Im now writing my autobiography to tell people my story about living with epilepsy. Thise who dont have it just dont understand what we have to cope with. I know there are worse things obviously but epilepsy is definitely among the top 10. I had a VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulator) fitted and its failed miserably lol. But like everyone else with epilepsy im not giving up. Kerrie xxxxxxx

It's abit melodramatic, i mean i've got epilepsy, i can think of worse things to have.

"1000 people die a year in the UK because of epilepsy" maybe so but statistically you're more likey to die crossing the road.

"Epilepsy is hard to live with" On rare cases yes, but 70% of people with epilepsy there seizures can be completely controlled through medication.

I'm still having my seizures but they will be controlled. =]

This is a fantastic video!

My five year old daughter has had epilepsy for nearly four years. I'm shocked at the public's insensitivity to epilepsy. In fact, I saw in the news in the last week where a young man having a seizure in Dallas, TX was robbed. Thankfully it was caught on security camera, and the man was arrested.

Wow! FIRST COMMENT! I loved your video! I am an epileptic.  I have had my share of bumps and scrapes (and broken teeth and bones), but I did not let that hold me back! I now live managed to move to another country, build a beautiful home, and start three successful business. All before I was thirty... Epileptic and Proud!
