I had to do the typical report for this when I was in the 5th grade....I just graduated in 2011! It's amazing that I remember this. I love this story and I am so glad that I found the movie on Youtube because I have been wanting to watch it so bad! :)

i first read this story in 2nd grade in spring 1985. it's was right when i first moved to l.a.. we watched the video after the fact. this is the first time i've seen this video since early 1985. i've never forgotten this story as it has to this day always remained one of my most favorite stories. i've never read it since. yet i've never forgotten it. it's very dear to me.

I distinctly remember watching this in 6th grade at Overland Ave. Elementary in Los Angeles, CA in 1989. I remember going outside that day and being very grateful for the sun that was shining away in the L.A. sky. Maybe because I came from Vancouver, B.C. I could relate to the feeling of endless grey days and endless rain.

Stop whining people, I live in Portland, where it rains more than Seattle, but less than where I used to live...Miami. That's right, it rains more in many cities on the east coast. What we get is barely a sprinkle by comparison.

Plus, I love the rain. I love the sound of it outside my window, and I love the sound of tires of wet pavement. This is actually what got me to look for this video, and I thank the poster for posting it.

@gettochick911 You think it rains a lot in Seattle...In Southeast Alaska we get 15 feet a year!. I saw this film when I was a kid and it always stuck with me. Kind of neat to see it end up online, always wondered what it was called.
