I had to come back and watch this again! I'm currently finishing up a story about Bogg and Jeff in Pompeii...and we all know what happened to Pompeii! I had in mind a fanfic trailer video, with footage from Pompeii documentaries and/or movies..and I even have a great song called 'Pompeii'...I just wanted to watch this for some inspiration, because it's really awesome!!
Your video turned out perfectly. I love the new connections that the V scenes get when you mix them with clips from documentaries. It's like keeping the show alive, not only in written form, but the actual images and everything. I love that!
LOL! I forgot I made this comment recently! Coming back to this one really did inspire me to get cracking and make mine. I love how you did this, the uplifting song, and the added treat of the blue/green screen effects.
Wow BlueCanvas... that was phenominal! I got goosebumps as well. That was absolutely excellent. The music was perfect, and I loved the final bit 'send us a deliverer/deliver us to the promised land' with Phineas and Moses in the picture... WOW. I could see him helping Moses.. that would have been awesome. Thanks for making this vid. :)
I'm happy you enjoyed it. I really grew to love the music, even after listening to it so many times while creating this, I'm still not tired of hearing it again. Thank you!
I forgot to comment on the beautiful music and how it just swelled and was timed right with all the stunning images. I LOVED the Hebrew singing by Moses' mother and the way you timed it with Phineas picking up the baby. The Prince of Egypt has a great soundtrack and it makes we want to go pick up a few songs on Itunes. Thanks for the reminder with this.
WOAH!! I totally wish I had these effects for my computer, this was so beautiful. This is especially poignant for me as I just finished Moses' life course with my little bible students and I'm now on to Joshua. This was a truly powerful blending of the Egyptians and Voyagers. You really outdid yourself. I love it. :D
Glad you like it. I'm using a different program now which has all those effects, it's fun to play around with them. You're right, there are so many great stories in the bible. And being a fan of Egyptian history myself I really wanted to do something with that one.
I really did like it.:) Do you use a PC or Mac? What program do you have? For some reason my little mac mini can't take to the next version or the newer plug ins for the IMovie..which is the program I use. Darn! I really want to get an updated one so it comes with the latest too. Oh well, in time. Yes, Egypt has a long fascinating history as one of the greatest of the world powers. 5 stars over and over for this!
I use a PC, the program is called Adobe Premiere Pro. Funny fact since you mention Moses' mother: she was sung by the Israeli singer Ofra Haza, who sang her role in 17 different languages for the international dubs! Pretty impressive, IMO.
Thank you, I have heard of that program and now I want to get it. :) Thanks for the info, I was wondering if it was another Hebrew singer, Noa...but she has a deeper, scratchier voice, still she sings very pretty. She sang the theme song to Life is beautiful.
OMG! What a powerful and moving video. M. you got my attention with this one, that's for sure. The sheer power of the imagery and the music brought goosebumps to my arms. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!! THIS IS ONE GREAT PIECE OF WORK!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, I know you're interested in Ancient Egypt, so I'm especially glad you enjoyed the video. The prince of egypt soundtrack is really great. It's by Hans Zimmer, who composed the score to the Lion King, Gladiator and many other amazing movies. I totally adore his work.

Oh he makes beautiful music. I have a very rare soundtrack to one of my favorite movies, 'The whole wide world' and it's just glorious.
