EA's cover is so much better than that other girl's. For me, this conveys so much more emotion. The other one felt... empty. EA puts soul into this song.

I really didn't like Emily Browning's version, mind you I do like suckerpunch. Emily Browning voice to me is typical, she isn't a huge singer because she sounds just like every other overemotional white girl, not to say she's a bad singer. Autumn has a voice hard to copy, unlike Browning. Autumn's voice is raw and she sings with freedom, which to me has a greater emotional impact, which is why I like it.
But honestly, the best version of this was The Smiths.

This is probably my favorite version of this song - maybe other than the origional. I find with EA, she puts feeling into her song. She puts her stamp on it, and hell is it a stamp. I find the music, the harmonys in the instruments, I find that stunning and unique. How often do you find something like this, with a backing like this? Nothing is perfect. Not in everyones eyes. But this is pretty damned well close in my opinion.

I do like the fact that the tempo was a little discordant with the rest of the sound. It's almost like a metaphor for the disharmony inside someone who can't fall asleep because the feelings inside them keep them awake.

@MsLissa69 I'm an Emily Browning fan too, and I love her version, but this is awesome, cuz it's got so much more emotion... Emily's version is great in its own way, and this version is great in its own way too :)

@MsLissa69 haha im sorry but emilies is way better she sings the song way better ... it probably sounds different to you because emilie autumn can sing this song with higher notes the other chick is only a alto and emilie is a soprano who can sing anything from a octave scale.

@liekurface you seem to not understand how it feels this state of the mind when you want to fall asleep and never wake up, its not like this song, is more like emily's browning version, or other calm songs... this song is like sonfusing feelins "aaa, dont know what to do, what to feel!!!" but instead it should be like you dont care anymore of anything, and i mean ANYTHING, your perfectly calm and there are no feelings, no love, no hate, your words are just "good bye"....

This is probably my favorite version of this song - maybe other than the origional. I find with EA, she puts feeling into her song. She puts her stamp on it, and hell is it a stamp. I find the music, the harmonys in the instruments, I find that stunning and unique. How often do you find something like this, with a backing like this? Nothing is perfect. Not in everyones eyes. But this is pretty damned well close in my opinion.

Well um I love the tune!!!!!!!! And I think this is very unique....But, well, her voice was kind of strained and wacky lol and the lyrics were beautiful! But they didn't go with the music :( sorry for all the buts, and this is great! But not my taste :)

I do like the fact that the tempo was a little discordant with the rest of the sound. It's almost like a metaphor for the disharmony inside someone who can't fall asleep because the feelings inside them keep them awake.

I disliked, why? because the music hurts my ears, i mean it sounds like it is played by someone without aregular tempo... i'm not a musician, i'm just enjoying music, and i apreciate quallity! music means harmony of sounds, and this one isn't... the lirycs are good, but the music.... i'm glad that i heard emily brownings version first.... also remeber this is my IMHO!!!

@pteronoid aw you really think so? ): well its your opinion and im glad you didnt just write something like 'she sucks' etc ;) i really love her voice and music, and this cover is amazing, i can feel her emotions.. and covers are always different (like the tempo ;) ), would be boring if they all were similar to each other, ey? ;D

@PinkPlaguerat her voice is the good part of this version, i don't have anything against this Emilie nor the song, i like the lyrics... yet i have a problem with the music, i mean the composer... i guess.... you it is said that something is perfect when you don't have the add/remove something in order to make it more "perfect"... well, i my ears think that this particulary song could sound a little better with such a good voice, they've wasted some very good potential here... and again imho.. :)

i didnt listen to this song until the day suckerpunch came out (my fav movie of all time) and it was in that movie. the film reminded me sooo much of emilie and just now finding out she actually covered this song aswell as whoever covered it for suckerpunch made me actually so excited i could diiiiie!
