Why do we find Barrett's compositions so modern and satisfying after some 40+ years, while other musicians of Barrett's time seem so dated and confined to "oldies" material? Could it be that Barrett enormously and lastingly influenced many of his contemporaries to such an extent that his vision of music became embedded in the unconscious?

This song is so marvelous and special. I like the atmosphere of it and it's lyrics just describe the feeling of a deep sorrow that turned into a lethargic mood where you feel the only way to escape ,,the harm,, of this life is to waste your time.Weird is that I often get the same feelings....
