How were the barrel segments held together?

mount an undercarriage under the rear cannon mount and use it to store your munitions, that oughta help with the balancing act :)

the split second shots are amazing, how'd you capture it?hold down the shoot button of your camera while everything is in motion then pick out the nice ones?
