This is a bit off the subject but I am assuming there are people from Tallahassee on here. Can anyone tell me what video rental places are still open in Tallahassee? Is it just Videoall on Adams St. and Video 21 near Gov. Sq.??

Because it seems like all the Blockbusters, the Movie Gallerys, the Hollywood videos, the Flix Videos, and the Greg's Videos are closed. Things are closing so fast I can't even keep up with it on the Internet or the phonebook.

Do I have to go with Netflix?

Tallahassee is much smaller than the major cities in Central and Southern Florida. Those cities are part of the "New Florida". They haven't been around as long as Tallahassee and other North Florida cities/towns but they have grown so fast over time. Tallahassee is part of what some call the "Original Florida"

Haha, what the hell is "true" florida? If it's in florida, it's "true" florida. I swear, you people will debate about anything.

Personal opinion. Tallahassee is not that bad of a place. Obviously a College city having FSU and FAMU. The south and west and are basically typical "ghettos", excluding a few sections, and including a few parts of the east and north, but not many.

It's not a tourist location by any means, but it's one of the fastest growing cities.

i came here to go to school and stayed. it is a good place to raise kids. i am from jacksonville, i'd move back there, but my husband hates it there. we're actually discussing moving to atlanta, but who knows. i really don't like south florida, but that is because i'm too southern. i also like fall and winter, so miami would not be the place for me.

gotta agree wit mikemike. i go to skool here & Tally is nice enuf , as small scenic cities go,,, but otherwize,,, the words BORING & DULL pop out at me like a pistol shot. can u imagine wat it wood be like witout the colleges?  north & central florida are worlds apart from south florida. im from south f. & thats the REAL TRUE florida.

Tallahassee sucks, turn around and keep on going east on i-10 until you hit i-95 , because all of north florida sucks. Tallahassee is the worst of it, its a southern town so you think that it would be like southern hospitality, but it is not. Tallahassee is the most pompous place I have ever seen, everyone is worried about their outward appearance, Ive seen a good percentage of the people that dress up to go to wal-mart! that is exactly the pompusness I was speaking of, I can say what I feel like saying. And it isnt a nice sized city it has a 3 block downtown area with residential neighborhoods and strip malls. What is good about tally? the location? there is nothing around tallahassee. It is nothing like the rest of FL so I am dumbfounded why it is the capital Fuck the noles, they suck at just about every sport. Fuck the 850 its about the 954(Lauderdale), the 305(Miami)the 407(Orlando)and the 561 (Palm Beach).

Yeah, but Miami is the gateway to the americas and the carribean. Tallahassee is a 20 square mile hillbilly city. The Miami area has the most industry and business in the southeast. Tallahassee is nothing like the real florida which is anything on the east coast and anything inland gainesville and more south. If you ask anyone not familiar with florida where the capitol is they will say Miami or Orlando. The 850 sucks.
