JAWS is expensive: ubuntu + orca gives you screen reading capabilities and full use of a computer for free. you can even install ubuntu as a live install on a pendrive and use it on your windows computer. Or, buy a mac: you get beautiful hardware and voiceover, a built in screenreader for less than the price of a windows computer + JAWS.
My sis says: I have a different computer program than jaws, though I have heard of it. But When I am online my program stops reading things that I want it to keep reading. It is also difficult to use. I am not really on the computer much anyway.
avrillavigne99: i know people who have canes that reach to the top of their heads! the longer your cane, the longer your reach, the faster you can go. short canes hold you back, no matter what sighted o&m instructors may tell you.
My sis says: I've always had one this length. I am used to it from when I was born. There are different lengths I've tried, but because I'm used to this length it's what I prefer. I think it is all in preference, not exactly how fast you'd want to go.

skool1555 is right, I know some blind people in the Internet and they all use JAWS or a similar Software to listen to the computer, so they can chat, post messages, browser the web etc.

Your cane is quite short. Why did you pick a cane length that is so short on you?

it sounds like your using 2 point Tap with your cane.. why not get a roller tip?

No no, i am blind and also use a cane, you measure canes to your breast bone no higher or lower
