Vollendet und schön ... mit Eugen Ciceros und Oscar Petersons Platten habe ich die schulischen "Galeerenjahre" überstanden und neuen Lebensmut geschöpft. Eines Tages, als ich das TV anschaltete, hörte und sah ich ihn "Die Moldau" spielen und darüber improvisieren. Es hat mir wirklich Gänsehautschauer über den Rücken gejagt. Für das, was er mit seiner Musikalität bewirkt hat, werde ich ihm immer ein ehrendes Andenken bewahren! Herzlichen Dank für's Posten! :-)

he's real name is Eugen Cziczeo, he's a romanian and he developed in German under the pseudonym Eugen Cicero

He had a famous, also, brother, Adrian Ciceu, and his son is Roger Cicero.

First I thoght it's a real video, but i wasn't disappointed when i saw that it's just song with pictures. i really like eugen and i always wanted to play like him. he should be known by all pianists.

who hasn't heard his "solfeggio" hasn't heard anything...he's got a sad story;at his time he sold better than any other jazz musician,some german guys got angry saying jazz shouldn't go on "mainstream",and they erased him from ANY records;),archieves and so on.he died as an alcoholic some years later,because of "breaking the rules",jazz actually doesn't keep so dearly anyways.he is hard to find too :(...
