There is no mention of which military captured the Al-Qaueda members. I guess it was a joint Iraqi, American force. When Iraq can do it alone the US and others should leave. The sooner the better for everyone.

The forces that captured the false jihad forces were Iraqi resistance groups: Militants that had been fighting the US occupation force, as well as locals who had taken up arms. The fighters requested that the "US stayed away" and then they ambushed the Al-Qaeda fighters. Go read the news report on Al Jazeera English's web page.

Ya, of course the members of government want the US to stay until Al-Qaeda is defeated, but wouldn't it be a better idea to use Al-Qaeda as a rallying tool? Instead of using US muscle, unite the different factions against Al-Qaeda and form a unified government without US military influences.
