@LoveMetalForLife Yes, i would recommend it very much. The campaign teaches you well. Be sure to play it, it's a fun experience anyway. But you will have some trouble getting into the multiplayer, and the complex mechanics of it. The campaign teaches you the basics very well, but when it comes to multiplayer, you will be a bit confused. But there is a practice league, however before you get into the "real" multiplayer.

If you were to have problems with the multiplayer, you should check out Sean "Day9" Plott, who does a show called "the day9 daily", Where he teaches starcraft, basically.

So, all in all, Just get the game. You will grow to love it during the campaign, and the multiplayer amazing when you get into it. I was new to rts too, but starcraft 2 is now one of the best games i have ever played. EVER. A definite recommendation from me.
