  • Ruh RO!!!

How is that HOPE and CHANGE working out for you BUC fans???

You will not win a game all year!!

  • Fires Derrick Brooks! fking Derrik Brooks!

    Gruden loves vetrans.

    Morris loves Young Players!

But come on! We need some leadership from vetrans! at least!!!

  • The Buccaneers are an offense without a future...

The firing of Jon Gruden was a mistake by the Bucs.

What's puzzling about this is not the firing, but the timing and the new hire.

A 60-57 record in 7 years. 4 winning seasons. 3 division titles. 1 Conference Championship. A Super Bowl victory. Not bad statistics.

Morris is going to have some very, very big shoes to fill in Tampa.

Gruden will definitely get another shot in the NFL. He has been very successful everywhere he has gone.

  • gruden's ego was too big... I respect his super bowl victory though.

  • mistake? it was the right move gruden got an ego and he was the problem the team stinks. he put players in dog house if he doesnt like them or have something against them

  • the defense layed down after finding out that kiffen was leaving

  • defense was old had nothing to do with kiffen. and they couldnt rush a dog running by them they suck and old. thats allen and gruden fault for brining in has been from another team that no one wants

  • there is not a defensive coordinator available for the bucs......

  • i really like the decision to hire morris, he is a high-energy guy and is a players coach. the D will continue to be sick nasty, and hopefully we will no longer run that dink and dunk offense, and hopefully no more jeff garcia...get behind morris bucs fans, the future is bright

  • im a bucs fan who now lives in baltimore. im exited about morris. ive seen what john harbaugh, as a 1st year head coach, has done with a baltimore team that was 5-11 last year. with almost the same team , apart from a rookie QB, they have had success this year. even with injuries , harbaugh has gotten the backups to step up. new is sometimes good.

  • Morris is a high energy guy and brings a lot of fresh ideas to the table....of course there r gonna be some questions because he is so green but hey welcome to NFL life...GO BUCS!!!

  • falcons are going to win the division the next few years i see that now...lol Tampa just keeps failing your coach is going to suck! hahahaha the panthers have already failed,Jake might be gone an peppers is leaving..lol GOOO FALCONS!

  • you mean the Falcons that we owned this season? yep, i see that happening

  • the bucs were good but we beat you guys last time we played.one thing i think we both can agree on is the bucs or the falcons wouldnt have throw 6int's against Arizona like jake delohomo

  • true that atlkinyboi. The falcons are full of talent, I just had to defend my boys, you know how it is.

  • Congrats to Morris. I wasn't too sure about him at first but I'm getting more comfortable with the idea now and his potential. The players seem to really like him as well. I've heard the media compare him to and say he "could" be the next Mike Tomlin (Steelers), and if that's the case, that would be great for the Bucs! So let's give him a chance. Hopefully things work out...

  • People in Pittsburgh were shocked when they hired Tomlin a few years ago and hey look at the Steelers now.. one game away from the Super Bowl! So let's see what happens with Morris.

  • WhatTheBuc, there is a some good quarterbacks out there, for example, the patriots are wanting to trade Matt Cassel, and from what I have seen from Matt Cassel he would be a good fit for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

  • I am not a Cassel fan. I think he is this year's Derek Anderson. I don't see much out there that I would take over a guy we already have, Luke McCown. I know that puts me in the minority, but I have watched a lot of snaps from teh kid at the last two training camps and feel he has tons of upside.

  • I agree with McCown, he needs a chance. I would of liked to keep Simms though. Cassel might be okay if his price isn't to high. I say go after Quinn or Lienart, niether one are happy in there current situations.

  • id like to hold out for Tebow next year... we can run the triple option... itll be sick. i am dead serious. love that kid.i really think he can change the nfl QB position.

  • I honestly would love for Cassel to come to Tampa Bay...but I thought the Pats would franchise him b/c Tom Brady's knee wasn't healing correctly. We need a young quarterback who will be here for years to come. I hear you old school...and I respect your opinion, But I don't know that Luke McCown is the answer. Cassel did win 10 or 11 games this year(i can't remember) in a pretty tough division. But he had better recievers in NE than he's gonna have in TB! GO BUCS!!!

  • Didnt I say the Buccs will Rebuild after the L to Oakland.. A change of shift, from Oakland to Tampa(up/down) ? Oakland had been awful since the SB Loss. It took them a full 360. Until they again faced the TB with the same 03 SB uniform colors. In a way it was a big Karma thing for Oakland. Who can now rest better than ever, as they have finally taken care of : TB,Gruden,Kiffin,Bruce. Sapp(TBcaliluv)&Gannon(Iluvchuk)>both critics against the Oak. now time to switch sides TB. You rebuild,we shine

  • I hear ya Mike. What did you end up?

Come visit the trophy some day.

  • Yeah, I'll visit the Trophy when we go back to TB in 2016. If not, bring it to Oakland in 2012. That way we both take a picture with it.. You with your SB trophy, and Me with My 3SB Trophies..sounds fair. If not Ill just take the 3 Lombardi's to TB later, After all it took TB what...30+ yrs to get that lucky. Nice to see Gruden got send to TB by the Raiders and got out of TB by the Raiders..lol.

  • No doubt, you lead the race with 3. Raiders have the history.

Head to Head in Superbowl? Advantage Tampa.

  • Sure, by Gruden giving away the Raiders Offensive Playbook to the Buccs.. and given all the Audibles the Raiders(gannon) would use.. Gannon was doomed as soon as he arrived in the arena.. The Buccs didnt spy like the pats.. but its really close.. its like : if you get the answers for a Finals exam 3days before the test, and then blame the teacher(raiders)for not changing the questions(plays) if you get caught.. sounds like cheating.

  • I give credit and you whine like a litle girl. If I were a teacher and i KNEW that a student had my answer key, I would change the damn questions.

No cheating at all. Just an ass whipping. Glad you find solace in your historical Superbowls and 5 - 11 season.

  • Well, you should know all about Solace..after all your buccs were worst than 5-11 since ever, until Dungy arrived in Tampa. But Taking the Buccs down with us made our season alot more sweeter. It felt so good to take Gruden down with us. The Expressions were priceless. but not only TB. Jest lost that came back to haunt them in the end. Den lost in Nov. that came back to haunt them in the end. Stopping a winning season from the Texans in wk16. We gave TB Gruden. We took Gruden out of TB.

  • Not to mention the 2nd most important person of the field, the center, went awol the day of the game. You're 100 percent right.

  • Correction: Now we rebuild and Oak continues to rebuild. How long has Oakland been rebuilding now??? I guess Oakland had a pretty good year this year...they won more than 3-4 games. Oakland will continue to be a doormat while TB rebuilds.

  • Wassup old school. I can't believe we fired Chucky today. I'm all for change but this is a tough pill to swallow!!! I honestly think we need a more "offensive" minded guy, but I'll be pulling Raheem! GO BUCS!!! SCREW CLAYTON...he's a joke!!! Do you think we're gonna keep Garcia???

  • Bucs fan here, and I'm super excited about Raheem. I remember in 2006 how bad our DBs were, Raheem came back and boomb, they were instantly got better. He is the same guy that moved Tanard from CB to Safety at the Senior Bowl and saw he could play Safety in the NFL. I'm SUPER excited to see what Raheem can do. (especially in his first draft)

  • I am a Raheem fan, no doubt. Not sure he is ready for this big a step, but not a fan of the other folks on the market either.

Given what the FO did, this was a good move IMO (if it turns out to be true)

  • I'm just curious to see what is going to happen with the defensive coordinator and offensive coordinator spots.

And maybe, JUST maybe, Raheem can finally get us a real QB. :)

  • Name a real QB that is available (and if JP Losman is on your list I will be really upset)

  • I meant in the draft. (would LOVE Sanchez)

But if we're talking strictly FAs, I wouldn't mind Kyle Orton. Kurt Warner will either retire or re-sign with the Cardinals.

But I would absolutely love to draft Sanchez. If not, I wouldn't be bummed with Orton.

  • oh god u must be a usc fan. Sanchez sucks! He won't be a NFL starter anywhere! He'll be another clipboard holder and backup (just like Leinhert in AZ)

  • The fact that you say he is another Leinart and that you said he sucks, proves to me that you have either never seen him play or don't know jack squat. Sanchez is nothing, at all, like Leinart. He has a stronger arm, better mechanics, throws a better deep ball. Funny how a lot of Draft guys have him as their #1 QB. You must know more than them.
