The not real campus thing isnt bad! ITs just personal preference. I personally love "no main campus" cuz its just so different, go downstairs coffee shop, or grocery store, or anything!

The real campus is nothing like the real life after campus life.. NYU prepares you at the start to start living independently but in a "city/college" environment, in my opinion. care to share?

I'm a senior in high school now and i'm applying there. I live in cali but i took a trip to nyu and it was great. I'm still deciding if i really want to go there because it is in fact a city campus and not an actual campus like more colleges..

You want to be careful of sheltering yourself in college. If you want a greater and feel for the real world, which you'll eventually get anyway, you'll want a city campus like NYU. But if you really, really want a strong campus community NYU might end up being too open for you.
