ANYONE ? Who wrote the words, "a rare time for Death in Ireland?" The words were recorded on a record commenmoratring the 1916 Easter Uprising. It was the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem signing. I don't know neither the name nor the poem? It part of the Irish legacy.
Who is the singer on this version? He does it so well. I'm just glad my own version, bad as it may be, does not attract the vitriolic comments so many versions of this song draw.
