Seeing this back-to-back with 'coming back to life' is completely exhilarating. Why on earth isn't the Division Bell album at the same heights as some of the other Floyd albums? This is magnificent, as are most of the other songs on that album, whether or not they fit in with Floyd's overall zeitgeist. Maybe those critics who reviewed this poorly should check their pulse, and take what they said back ........someday.
I had bleacher seats at this show, (11th row) before this, I can't describe the feeling I get to give homage. All I can say is THANK YOU GOD FOR DAVID GILMORE.
The music of Pink Floyd resonates with many truth seekers and mind explorers who delve into the unknown. If you are a truth seeker, search "Truth Contest" in Google and click on the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says. Everyone needs to see this. The Present will turn this world right-side up if it reaches enough people. You will see what I mean when you read the first page.
I had a child, I planted a tree, I may still have the chance to write a book..... but no longer will I have the honor to see pink Floyd live, ... too late for many of us! ....
BTW the legendary album, "The Dark Side Of The Moon" was recently still on the billboard top 100....38 years later, its goes in and out... absolutely amazing..
simply put, the greatest band to ever grace the earth, their music touches you emotionally, mentally, and physically.. they will never ever be repeated, they were an enigma.. Their music is so powerful that it can only inspire other musicians and live on in us all.
I feel fortunate to have been borne during the time Pink Floyd was borne. One cant help but to bow down to enormity and talent of a band that cant be repeated and is bound to the remain just that. Pink Floyd for president.
Pink Floyd pioneered 'performance art', they paid big money out of their pockets just to put on these shows, I'm an old hippie and have seen them all, all the classics, and these guys rocked my world. Saw them in Detroit nobody wanted to go, so I went alone, fifteenth row and it was transcendent, classic, thirty years plus to share their vision, I think that they learned to fly!
Does anyone realize what a BIG GUITAR Dave is playing in this song. Waters may have mastered the studio, but only Gilmour could execute the big songs until only recently (see. Wall Tour)
This is one song I can not get enough of , It is a song thats power packed full of energy. Love the laser light show. The first time I heard this song on the radio , They said here,s a song that does, not get played much , I was so mad . Its like the reason it does, not get played much is because the stupid program director will not let the real disc jockys run there own show . Its really sad because this is a great song.
This is what real music is the kind that makes us think the kind that makes us stay up for hours each and every night just to listen to what the band has to say this is truly a work of art no beyond that this is a talent that no one else will ever come close to reaching live on pink floyd the best band ever! PINK FLOYD FOREVER!!!
First time I saw Pink Floyd they had just released Ummagumma. They played the Taft Theater in Cincinnati, Oh. As good as that show was I never imagined what I would see them do with Darkside of the Moon in concert. They never fail to completely fill your senses.
@Sengleaboy it will always be one of the great sadnesses of my life that I did not see them for this tour when I had the chance. I was too caught up in the rave scene at the time, and too young and stupid it even think that it might be my last chance to see them.
@EyeHawk777 That was the night before the last gig, their last gig was on the 29th. I flew all the way from Malta for this concert but was worth every penny.
Got to see Floyd live in Pontiac silver dome during the pulse tour. It is something as burned on to my mind as much as fighting in Iraq. Music like Floyd is what makes us different from animals.
A concert I'll remember till my death. I was only a baby when I saw them (One of the family worked for them when they were on tour hence why I was very lucky to see them)
It never fails to amaze me how there are still so many people who have not been exposed to this music/band and then when they are, they are followers for life.
They are not what you would call mainstream', and for that I am glad, because when I see the looks on the people faces I have played this/borrowed to etc, they are blown away.....its a pure revelation to them......my point being that this music will be around for alot longer than most, Pink Floyd were and still are ahead of their time
pink floyd are at the end of there carier how many of you realise what a sad time in music this is,they was/are a one off there was no one like them before and there will never be another like them again, remember the good times remember there unique place in time and remember the magic, pink floyd will live forever thank you roger, dave, nick, bob, richard and syd,you will live in our hearts forever.
@stellastey Damn right i love Floyd many try to be like them but there is nobody out there that can be! the Austrailian Pink Floyd show is great but nothing compares to the real thing! PINK FLOYD WILL LIVE FOREVER!!!!!
i went to see pink floyd for the pulse tour in the old yank stad on june 28 1994 and i will never for get that show it was amazing i was 18 and tripping my ass of it was great

@TheStarJuggler Hi there David Gilmour will never tour as the original pink floyd, when Rick died he said he cannot perform certain tracks without him and it will never be the same. So if you see Live 8 all them years ago I would say that was there reunion.

I would have always and still put my very own life on the line fer this band that is much they mean and I damb sure there is alot of people that fell this way.
I was at Earl's court for "the other night" of the Pulse recordings. I could try to describe it but it would be utterly futile. All the members of the band stood stock still, in place, on the stage, yet somehow contrived to put on one of the most engaging concerts I've ever been to. IT was truly a (musically) life-changing experience...
Hmmm, Time & time again you see comments on 'old school' music such as this stating that the comment author is a young person who enjoys this sort of music. - unyet I have yet to find a young person who will admit it!
That means that either there are masses of young people out there who really love this stuff, but think it's uncool to admit it; or that the comments are actually written by oldies pretending to be youngsters for reasons unknown.
@loswaldo666 Well, if it's "oldies" (of which I am one) pretending to be youngsters then they are prolly pervs----in which case it would not be all that interesting (I'm just sayin'----#LOL)

I sometimes just start crying without a reason when i hear them play. Pink floyd is the only music that makes me a little girl

I guess 10% of the people who decide to learn and play the guitar do it because of Gilmour

It'd be interesting to know which it is.

@loswaldo666 Well, if it's "oldies" (of which I am one) pretending to be youngsters then they are prolly pervs----in which case it would not be all that interesting (I'm just sayin'----#LOL)
