  • This guy is a genius

  • I'm extremely selfish and entitled and it has nothing to do with my parents or the society around me. I just don't like being bossed around by a bunch of losers and I believe wealth is distributed so unfairly that the whole country is lawless.

  • i cant like this any more

  • Me to I agree... But isnt Glenn beck over 30 lol

  • I agree with Glenn, 100 percent, on this one.

  • i love the face book/youtube part.

and the out comes part, however i think each generation shouldnt have to pay for the previous generations mistakes or, decisions.

put it this way, if im going to do time for raping a bitch, i want to have gotten my moneys worth and actually raped a bitch.

apply that logic to this, if i gotta pay for all the bail outs, wars, etc guess what i want

  • i disagree with beck a lot of the time, and to some extent on this as well, however i think the point of having the government these kinds of descisions being wrong, is correct. It seems that we are accepting more and more government in our daily lives, even to the point of the schools becoming the primary place in which children learn right from wrong. Education is one thing, but the state showing that much interest in raising everyones children is worrying.

  • this guy makes millions..and I bet his children get EVERTHING they dream of

  • I'm sure he has some merit in what he's saying here. You should only get what you earn. Like his honourary doctorate degree! You know, the one that he earned his bachelor's and master's degree for. The same one he wrote his PhD dissertation for, and defended his thesis in front of a PhD panel.

And no, im not putting down people who have lower levels of education than others. I'd just like some consistency in his argument

  • Times have changed. End of story. Obviously the letter to the editor wasn't serious about their statement, just making a point of the young are also in need of health care. It isnt like in the 1940, you can leave high school and have a well paying job, a house and what not. We are pushed into schools, colleges, universitys... we are pushed to succeed. The letter isnt about being selfish, its about raising awareness to the fact that elderly arent the only ones who are in need of it.

  • I have ribbons beyond third place, how great is that, I failed and someone complimented me for my success? It is ironic that I wound up to the right of my parents, but Al Gore has to know what he is doing is wrong, like all of these other politicians, they have to be smarter than they sound, right?

  • I'm in the "Me" generation. I will say that what he says is true about SOME of this generation. I don't think "Give it to me!" or "I deserve xxxx!" are correct. To me statements like "Make it worth it!" and "Don't waste my time!" are more accurate. My generation entering the workforce are willing to work our tails off for the most part. It just better be worth it in the end. We don't want to get screwed over.

  • @Johnrl21 I'm with you on that one. Every company wants a loyal hard working employee we just want the same from our companies...to be well taken care and feel a sense of loyalty from them.

  • Guys it's really me me Generation you adults don't see what I see and hear in schools Kids are really spoiled

  • wow glenn beck is sure an asshole

  • I won't bother to point out the fact that Ron Bloom's comments were taken out of context and that other conservatives have quoted from Mao, as evil as he was (McCain, Gingrich, Goldwater...). And when did schools ever reward losers ? Mine certainly didn't. And sharing some of the profit with the less fortunate isn't "rewarding losers", it's encouraging them to do better though of course too much of it will make them lazy, I do not deny it.

  • I'll be the first to admit that my generation has its faults, including irresponsibility, but Beck exaggerates it to ridiculous degrees, making us sound like we're a bunch of selfish marxist amoral sex robots with no concept of right or wrong and who are incapable of taking serious decisions.

  • Typical Glenn Beck : Linking an unrelated quote to Obama's healthcare plan despite it being BEFORE he was even elected ? Check. Take one radical example and generalize it ? Check. Use said example to go on a paranoid rambling exaggerating real problems ? Check. Taking another quote completely out of context ? Check. Doing the fake "close to tears/crying" act ? Check.

  • Workng hard doesn't pay off and it's a waste of time and a waste of life.

  • Glenn Beck is a BULLSHIT ARTIST!!! This "New 'Me' Generation" stereotype is irksome enough as it is, but to listen to this man rag on Milennials.....I just wanna kick his ass---but not before pulling his head out first.

Glenn, you're forgetting something: Although there are people who DO fit that description, a lot of us are the opposite. A lot of us are actually hard-working, not demanding, and we DO care for people other than ourselves. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT, YOU HIGH HIGHFALUTIN DUMBASS!!!

  • His tongue looks like a dickhead. So that's what's coming out of his mouth...

  • Seriously...

Beck calls US the me generation?

Beck who hates the thought of helping others pay for health care?

who hates the thought of welfare to poor?

    who fears progressive taxes?

He calls US the ME generation!?!?!

    shut your fat clap-trap

    you tight-fisted hypocrite!

  • @CrazyJaketheTerrible You too can gain the same level of wealth as Glenn Beck if you work hard to earn it. If we want someone to cure cancer, cure AIDS, or simply invent the next device that will make our lives easier, they need to be rewarded accordingly. If not, what's the point of trying. If you worked hard your whole life, why should you be forced to take care of those who have yet to achieve? Furthermore, what incentive do you have to achieve if you're already being taken care of?

  • Proud representative of the so called "me generation." Sounds good to me.

  • Me Me Me ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • American Idol is funny!

  • wtf this guy is crazy

  • Wow - This is totally contradictory of what he "believes". The world has changed , I know my parents didnt need a bachelors to get a career. Now an extra 4 year education gets me a start at the bottom of the ladder in a company that doesn't promote. For what? So that I can invest and 40 years later if I am lucky I can retire? No thankyou, my time is worth more than running the rat race.

  • Imagine a world where there was no money, no work, and everyone was free to enjoy life at it's fullest. Yeah that's a terrible unrealistic dream.

  • omg he never fails to bring the crazy

  • Socialism -the pipe dream of spoiled, selfish, small-minded, resentful parasites. It was birthed by an egotistical, arrogant bum who refused work or care for his own destitute children while he spent years writing his filthy screed, "Das Kapital," the book that inspired at least 100 million deaths, unspeakable suffering and squalor for billions. They hate those that do work and care for their own. And so it is and shall ever shall be until humanity learns the lesson of the parasite.

  • That's exactly right... Marx was a complete loser who never actually worked a day in is life. He was a dark, dimwitted and lonely man who spent all his time in libraries theorizing on things he knew nothing about, like work and productivity. The results of his evil theories have been shown throughout history to cripple the human spirit and create generation after generation of human parasites. Unfortunately we've created a generation of little monsters. Twenty something brats.

  • Marx was writing in a time where factories were unsafe, the worker wasn't paid a fair wage and was exploited from his youth till his most likely untimely death, ideas he fought for and you now take for granted). He envisaged a system where people were viewed as equal, and where resources are pooled together and distributed not based on wealth but based on the need of that person. It is flawed and idealistic but lets not confused the theory with what happened, that was Stalin-ism not communism.

  • A little angry are we? Marx was angry too because at the time children and adults worked in factories that weren't safe and didn't pay a living wage. All things you now take for granted (in the west). He wanted to create a system where everyone had equal access to the resources they needed. In socialism everyone that can work, works, much like capitalism. The fundamental difference is that access to health care and such is given to all equally and not doled out only to those who can afford it.

  • I have to disagree...the fundamental difference is that in a socialist society the productivity, high achievement and technological advances that have occurred in the USA would not be possible, because all incentives for high achievement are taken away. The most significant difference, however, is the loss of the individual's freedom because with socialism someone has to be in charge to set the rules for everyone...this will ultimately lead to someone like Stalin, Mao, Castro. Power corrupts.

  • Socialism can be democratic and leftist countries that lean socialist are democratic! So if you dont mind democracy with leaders, same system whether socialist or capitalist. As for incentives, that's like gambling currently, you put bets on whether a company will be successful or not. This kind of incentives leads to alot of waste and is not the only way to inspire people. The space race was government funded, so are many projects. Power corrupts? Socialism is not dictatorship. PoliSci anyone?

  • You don't understand socialism very well. He who controls the money supply controls the government which controls the people.

That is ass backwards of reality ... the people formed states with limited power, but the people over rule the states .. they created the states.

The states then created the "united States" with the power that they were given by "the people". So the people are over the government as well.

but not really because ALL of us are using FRN's.

  • FRN stands for Federal Reserve Notes ... look at a dollar bill up at the top. That is the CREDITOR .. a foreignor to the United States .. see the Federal Reserve website.

Below that is the debtor ... the one owing the federal Reserve ... The United States of America.

Now the USA takes their debt obligation to the FR ( Federal Reserve ) and passes this debt on down to you and me .. the people.

The Federal Reserve loaned us this fake paper and ink money that is form only with no substance

  • If you buy a home for $100,000 and pay $50,000 down on it then you till owe $50,000.

Now if you sale this house but do not pay this $50,000 that $50,000 debt is passed ON THE HOUSE ... a lien. This means that the creditor ( the bank ) OWNS this house while the lien is there....

It is no different when you use the Uniteds States Debt notes ... that paper money from the Federal Reserve .. fake money with nothing backing it

Our kids have NO CLUE what is going on .. they are lost 100%

  • When the US passes their debt down to you and I .. the people ... that invisiable LIEN is on that debt note .. that FEderal Reserve Note .. so whatever you buy with it .. or with a check, or cash, or credit ... BELONGS TO THE FEDERAL RESERVE .. even if paid off because the lien has 10% interest on it that you and I are not aware of....

Thus the Federal Reserve not only prints money out of thin air, but they own anything and everything that has ever been bought, or touched by a FRN

  • This means you OWN nothing at all ... you do not own anything, you only get "possession" .. not ownership. If you OWNED your car, you would not need a drivers license to drive it. But your creditor ... the Federal Reserve ( even if paid off you still owe the 10% interest on the Federal Reserve Note that you used to purchase it .. or their credit or checks ) owns it and is gving you the privlage of driving it, paying for the gass, the repairs, and the oil, washes, and the like.

    We need Educatio

  • This nation and it''s people have no idea what has happened ... they have been purposefully mis-educated.

We do not "own" anything .. best we can do is get a "certified" copy of title .. not the actual title. No person in America has ALLODIAL title on their land .. only deeds.

You have to ASK to get married ( A God given Right ... no permission needed unless your a slave ) ... when you have to ASk to do what your creator gave you the RIGHT to do .. your a captive, not an owner

  • Thus everything is owned by the Federal Reserve ... yes even "you" are owned by them .. is their property in your possession .. Federal Reserve Notes? Then they own you since your using THEIR property ... the Federal Reserve note. Wake up people ... these "privileges" like "getting married, driving, fixing your house .. anything you have to get a "license" for ( ask for permission ) .. are the signs that everything is ass backwards.

Socialism is not Oboma .. but the Federal Reserve did this

  • Any time you allow a FOREIGNER to print your sovereign right .. money, you become a slave and a captive and what comes from that is whatever the foreign creditor wants .. in our case socialism.

Government is just a front .. a TV SHOW .. a puppet of the creditor .. the Federal Reserve.

America is in fact under-educated ... and yes "the me" generation is their works ... wake up and fix your nation people ... get rid of your pride and face the fact that we SCREWED UP and have to fix it

  • they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

  • So because I am of this "Me" generation. Because I don't believe in your god, that makes me a selfish evil person? You are pathetic. I do hard work. I care about my fellow man and I don't need the fear of a God that doesn't exist to make me a good person.

  • This is so true and yet people just name call and come up with no proof that he is wrong. The bible is so true in Romans 1: 28-32 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful

  • The right wing are the selfish greedy ones.

It is socialist to care about other people.
