according to recent studies, only in France does an electric car generate less emissions than a diesel engine. This is due to France's high share of nuclear in the energy mix (this study only covered a few larger countries, so it might be that this is also true for Denmark)... everywhere else consider a diesel and do the math...

Clean car, truth.. but check how your country produces electricity before buying an electrical car. It can be less pollutive (and way cheaper) to use a new diesel engine. For atomic and hydroelectric plants, it is defintely worth it. If your country uses thermoelectric, specially from coal or oilshale, just nevermind.
