its not ejecting because you racked the slide back to slowly. the extractor is designed to pull the round out quick like the gun is actually firing and cycling. the weight of the round has nothing to do with your slow ejection because it ejects an empty casing which is just as light as your snap cap.
@matt115k Your right but sometimes I wonder because other handguns I have used with snap caps eject just fine when you rack the slide back slowly. I think its a mix of the gun and the speed of pulling the slide back.
You can also have a buddy load a mag for you, slipping in the snap cap somewhere in the middle. It's a good tool to check for flinching and practice tap-rack-bang-drills. Thanks for the good video!
@MrBobcat481 Yes that's a great way to practice your flinching and to make sure you pull the trigger smoothly. Tap Rack Bang drills are a good idea. The only thing I am afraid of is having my snap cap fly away from me while at the indoor range. I don't want it to go in front of the line.

@dizz672 They are around $2 - $3 a round. Usually they will come in a pack of 5 for handgun snap caps.
