25,000 + 5,000 = 30,000

If we consider that both teams would have likely made some 3 point shots during the game, West's awesome beyond half court shot three pointer probably wouldn't have tied it up. We don't know what the score would have been at that point, but odds are against the margin being the same as it was-Lakers could have been down by more or they could have been ahead.

I'm not sure how likely it would have been for both teams to have made three point shots. If a 3-point line existed in the NBA at that time the final score could have been different. Would a 3-point shot even have been attempted? I wouldn't want to assume either way. I do know West made a half court shot that in fact tied the game.
