This is a complete and utter lie. They announced it in the red eye as well but nothing else. No trailers, no news on the coming along, not even an announcement on who's doing it(Warner Bros, New Line, ect.) It's not fair to lead people on, especially the hardcore fans of Thundercats. It's just like Duke Nuk'em Forever, and that called the quits!

there hasn't been a decent remake to an 80's cartoon yet. michael bay ruined transformers. g.i. joe was horrific and dgz was a complete shit flick. comic book movies might be a bit worse.

The problem with this you have cartoons like he-man Dragonball z and transformers brilliant as they are then the idea of making a film version seems cool at first then they make it and it's the biggest let down I only that isn't the case here.

Use the CGI with the real world backgrounds and the right voice talent and it just might be a really cool summer movie ?. But I would rather it be a live action adaptation of the cartoon series, with all the advancement in CGI and makeup, and costumes .. it would really be cool ... but only if done RIGHT, we don't need another X-Men in black leather on our hands ... but an up to date costume with a little of the old thrown in would be interesting.

Hell, Transformers was (mostly) CGI. When I first heard about that, I thought that it was going to by CHEEZY!! But then, I saw it, and loved it. So maybe the same will be true of Thundercats, I don't know. I will say that I did like the cartoon, though.

Yeah . . I can't believe they got away with some of the things they did in Thundercats during the 80s. That was a tripped out cartoon in several cases. Mumra was FREAKY for that time in a kids cartoon :) I liked it, I'm just surprised they got away with what they did.
